Hi
In "Deadly manuvers" KITT damages something he calls his alpha circut when he tows Robin's car. I'd be curious to know what the Alpha circut is and what it does for KITT. KITT sure made a big deal of that circut being damaged

What is that alpa circut as it applies to KITT
Thanks,

Well it would bring up the question did they, the creators of the series, really plan out what each chip did or did they pick out a name that sounded cool when they needed it. I'm gonna go with B.
But possibly his Alpha circuit is his primary circuit, and he couldn't function properly without it.

The primary reason that KARR turbo boosted into the semi in "KITT vs KARR" was to steal alpha capacitors - the same chip?

Interesting point Joe. If so, they must be very important, whatever the heck they are.

Well, the term "Alpha" means "Beginning", which could also mean "Primary". Which could also mean that it is significant to vital functions.

This always seemed like really really bad writing to me.
Kitts ment to be almost indistructable, and yet important circuits can be damaged by the simple act of towing something?
he can have a bomb blow up under him... explosives erupt in his trunk, but look out if he tows anything??
And how exactly does towing something damage internal circuits??
Even in the world of KR its just stupid writing.

Cars with automatic transmission aren't really supposed to tow/be towed. I remember reading somewhere that it could damage the transmission or something like that. Maybe the alpha circuit is what KITT uses to control the car/transmission?

sure makes complete sense to me.

Kitt has pushed several vehicles at once in many episodes, as well as performing other feats of low-end torque power. Towing a car with it in neutral wouldn't be very hard, would it?

actually, if your reffering to the episode "good day at white rock", he didnt really use much low-end torque there as he was spinning his tires while pushing the car out of the impound lot.

They not really ment to turbo boost either.
