Here's one try, placed purple "filter" in front of the light source so this one is not coloured digitally but probably similar way Knight Rider intro sequence was filmed:


Edit: just noticed there's a red dot in the passenger side foglight opening, it's in the later photos as well in the same spot which means my old camera probably has dead pixel in the image sensor

Well I didn't just add a filter, I did a lot of color correction and vignette and masking stuff lol

Nice effect there too! In filmmaking, filters are usually placed in front of the cameras and light sources when filming a scene or scenes in a certain color to set a tone and mood ie. The Matrix, the green tint.
