I do remember trying once or twice to make that YouTube remote function work. It seemed so easy. And failed so miserably. Yet, I know it has worked for others.

I do not know why is impossible to embe a youtube video! I tried put the video address between [youtube][/youtube] but is not possible and Fenix The Best tried as seen above in this thread and din't work! It might be a bug of any sorts!

On my polish KR forum the "[youtube][/youtube]" works as long as you remove "s" from "https" - for example:

this works - [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qa9zwsWNdqw[/youtube]

and this not [youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qa9zwsWNdqw[/youtube]


But our forum seems pretty basic compared to KRO.

Oh? KRO looks basic enough compared to any other forums I see here in the US. Each to their own.

I just figured it had something to do with the evolving nature of YouTube, creating a format gap that left this site's coding tag in the past.

if you put just the video id in the [youtube][/youtube] tags it seems to embed correctly.

So for the url:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qa9zwsWNdqw
you'd grab the stuff after the v=, so:
qa9zwsWNdqw

and dump that in the youtube tag.




Note, the above all worked and made sense in "Preview" mode, no guarantees once I Publish.
