Caught an annoying blooper

I believe it's the episode Rings of Fire from Season2, but it's the one where Michael and KITT have to go down to the South and rescue this girl who eventually gets trapped in a house of burning fire, so there's a scene where the sheriff is taking Michael to some judge's house and KITT says a remark about Southern hospitality. Well, when KITT is saying that it shows the inside of the dashboard, but his voicebox doesn't light up when he's saying it. It gets me every time.

I hate to try and reason this one out, as there are truly so few times when they filmed from inside the show car like that. But, the show has a sound reason for it. The swampy atmosphere of the Bayou was playing havoc with Kitt's devices. The missing vocal display can be passed off as one of those malfunctions. Alas, this is about the only episode that excuse can be applied to.

The one that's always bothered me was in the original KARR episode, Trust Doesn't Rust. It's nighttime and the camera is looking at the show car. The dash board IS syncing to the spoken lines. Which is a rarity. Only it just had to be KITT's red voice working with KARR's lines. It shows they had the means to have the dash interact with the scene. Only the show almost always used it's studio mock up dash, instead.

Well, I guess that could be a viable excuse, except that I don't see how that would mess around with a car of this complexity in some "swampy atmosphere." The only time I can see it messing up would be when KITT slips into the swapmy water and it damages some of his sytems. Then again, I wish they had filmed more scenes of KITT talking from the inside.

Knight of a Thousand Devils has a good one.

When the bad guy's henchmen are dumping Michael into a deep hole in the ground to keep him out of the way, you can see a hand reach up out of the hole to catch David Hasslehoff's limp body as he's dropped in.

Yeah, there'a a lot of bloopers you're going to catch on the newer tv screens now, especially considering that the tv screens back then were of lower quality so they could just get away with just about anything lol.

You've got to remember that in another scene, Michael needed a paper print out of something. The paper is pushed out...but has no print on it. And that would have been circuits and a print head contained up inside the dash...where such a swampy environment really shouldn't have had any effects, either. Yet...the printed paper was completely blank.

I also am reminded of a completely different episode where Kitt is on some logging roads (or was it just some dirt roads in the mountains?) and the act of kicking up rocks from the road *somehow* jars his circuits, creating a malfunction that changes his voice for a bit. They even go so far as showing the rocks bouncing about against the circuitry. O_o Now, I realize that KITT would have to be a friggin' miracle of technology in the early eighties and be packing circuits into every inch. But, that shouldn't excuse that any electronics are exposed to the raw elements from underneath. Yet, it seems to be cannon that those high tech components are lacking a bit of a fire wall with that all-so vital MBS sprayed on to it...if a rock kicked up from a moving tire can cause such impacts.

It...doesn't make much sense to me, either.
