Is this a trick question?

After all, shouldn't it be David Hasselhoff directing?

The studio wouldn't let him. They want a general bland movie with just enough hints or homages to the original series to once again full the fanbase to go see a crappy revisioning, that's tailored by a dozen producers and Hollywood executives to reach a mass appeal instead of makign a qaulity film.

Just look at who they got listed as the writer for the film supposedly aimed for a 2018 release:

Brad Copeland.

Check out his genius work:

He wrote that *?$# "Yogi" movie based on the Yogi Bear animated series.

And he's writing scripts for films that didn't need to ever be need approached again:

A "not a remake" (yeah, right...) of "Monster squad" and a remake of "Flight of the Navigator".

And another crappy failed Chevy Chase pilot for a potential series, that went nowhere like the Chevy Chase late-night talk show that nobody remembers anymore but Chevy Chase (if even him). Look at his resume on IMDb in the variosu sections -- almost compeltely (if not completely) comedies. Taht should set off the warning bells for this KR movie.....

I say protest if Paul feig gets the job... Lol

If not the Hoff for director. Have him executive producer and Michael bay for director.
