Hi-Five to you for then posting said photos on a public forum, very well done.

Maybe at the next event we should have a 'NO PHOTOGRAPHS' sign that actually smacks people in the face as they open then door

Thank you for posting all of those pics ThomasKnight.I,like most people,couldn't attend and appreciate all the pics you've taken the time to upload.It lets me feel like i was there by just seeing all those high rez photos and video clips.

If people simply respected the rules it would make things a whole lot easier though.

Its 'little' incidents like this that jepardize the future of such events. Whereas you may think 'well its only me', if everyone thinks that way then theres little point bothering displaying peoples private collections.

If you love the show so much, next time follow the rules, that is IF there is a next time!

Totally agree with you Chris,
The room was clearly marked out yet photos are still appearing, doesn't bode well for a next knightcon.

Good photos otherwise.

Let me see if I can get this straight.The exhibits were put up for public viewing for those who attended knightcon 2010 but were'nt intended for viewing by the public outside of that convention? Makes perfect sense.

Anyway, I still thank ThomasKnight for getting all those great pics.

the prop room had a lot of personally signed photographs to Rob and I and other personal memrobilia was on display, it was our choice not to take photos of our peresonal signed collection, we posted all over the prop room that photography or video was not permitted

We promise the cast and crew every yyear that the video messages will never make it online and we always stick to that promise

The video montage DVD has taken 4 years to complete

There were CLEAR signs asking that photos and video were not taken inside the memorabilia/display room. Why those rules were there are not for you or anyone else to question, fact is they were the rules!
Some of the items in the room were ultra rare and the owners asked they weren't photographed.

A stupid amount of work went into this event, more than you can ever imagine. For people to then turn up and break a few simple, politely worded rules really ruins things.

Oh and sarcastic comments don't help matters either!

If you didn’t want the exhibit to be seen then put all the items/model/autographed pictures in the closet under a covering or in the garage in a box.The fact that they were shown at knightcon means that the owners wanted them to be viewed by the public. Maybe we should stop the picture takers who took the original photos in the 80’s too then.Why stop there?

Events such as this often have private collections that are on display exclusively for attendees. It’s not a simple case of not wanting the memorabilia to be seen by everyone at home, but rather giving a special opportunity to the people who’ve come to the event. If we could experience every facet of the show from home, a lot of people would choose to do that instead, especially since money is so hard to come by at the moment.

Add to that the fact that within the SAME room we had video messages playing that we simply had to keep off the Internet as per requests.

I wasn't there at the time but I had a friend with us who popped into the hotel to look at this "private" collection and she said plenty of people were photographing these items! (perhaps they were all dislexic and couldn't read(!) )

I went in there around 7pm-ish when nobody was around, as it was recommended to me to do this as I am a wheelchair user, and getting around would have been hard if people were in the way...anyway, I saw the sign and could understand why at the time....that is, until I realised these weren't original props as I thought they were at first but replicas.

So, no, I don't understand why photographing these items was prohibited since plenty of pics can be taken of replica KITT's outside, which are just as unique!

Just throwing my few pennies worth in, at the end of the day I know these items were made by talented individuals and if was THEIR wish to not have their own items photographed then that's fair enough!

On a sidenote, I'm having a Goliath made for me by the talented Tony Westwood, the same one in the show room. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and just had to work out a deal!
