knight rider online

Hey everyone

I happened to find a GTA3 model of KITT, different from the one that was posted on this site earlier.

Here's the linkto the page. The website is in German, but if you scroll down the page, you'll recognize kitt by the pic.

I havent had time to install it yet, so im not sure how it'll be. If anyone has this model, please post whether the model is worth installing or not.

very cool! is this something that can be put into the PS2 version of GTA3 or is it a PC only thing?

I will try dling it, but...doesn't KITT look like a Camaro in that pic..?

If you want to get the gist of what's being said in the site go to http://babelfish.altavista.com and you can translate the page from German. I reccomend going into the comments section - babelfish's pseudotranslation is funny enough anyway, but it becomes funnier with the fact that Kitt is German for cement!

I got problems dling it, I used IE and the server drops me and I used getright too, but it can't dl it. [img]images/smiles/icon_sad.gif[/img]

Nope, this is only for the PC version of the game. If you're having trouble downloading it, email me and i'll send the file to you. The car is a model for the borgnine taxi, but the instructions for installation are in german. I'm working on installing it right now, so the minute i figure out how to change the text files ill post it.

Not a problem, enjoy the model. Ok, to anyone who downloaded the model, here are the instructions on how to install it. The website does a pretty good job on making it pretty simple, but if you dont understand something, feel free to email me.

The problem with the current model is that it replaces the borgnine taxi, which is one of the hardest cars to get in the game. The other model that was posted here is for the stinger, which is a little bit easier to obtain.

The newer model actually comes with a scanner mp3. When i installed it, i noticed one of the radio stations in the car plays the kitt scanner sound. Very cool!! IMO, the earlier Kitt model is easier to install. Im still trying to find a borgnine taxi to test this newer kitt out. I might just download a garage editor, dunno. Enjoy!

Now that I checked something, I was wrong with the borgnine (thought the 'cabbie' was it) but I saw in a FAQ that if you complete 100 taxi missions you get it.(!!)
Well, I will go check some more sites to make sure.

Yeah, but i dont have the patience to go through 100 missions, lol. I have an unlocker, but the borgnine isnt one of the cars on the list... [img]images/smiles/icon_sad.gif[/img] Any GTA3 owners out there think they can help me out? Im looking for a garage editor then can unlock the borgnine so i can test this Kitt skin.

Just rename the files to another car, Banshee, and then replace it. Have you replaced other cars before?

Yeah i have, but i didnt know you could just rename the file into a diff car. Cool, ill give it a try.
