knight rider online

I came across this news article when I was browsing for Knight Rider items.. Its in Japanese and it looks officially from Aoshima. It appears they are currently producing a 1/24 scale of KITT in SPM!!! Finally a new mold!!! From what they have offered recently of KITT and KARR in 1/24 form, I think this SPM KITT will be in the same series as their previous offerings in that it will be a model kit... Whether it will come with the red LED's is another story.. I wonder though how the red scanner would work coz the nose part where the scanner is fitted is lifted above the main body... How will the wiring be like...? Don't think it will be using the same type of LED scanner chip used for their recently released 1/24 KITT..

But damn, this is great news. No release date just yet.. The news is dated as May 5th.. So its very recent!!! Check out the prototype photos!!! Looks good as always from Aoshima...

There are SPM fans, so I am sure it will sell. Agreed it is unlikely to having a working scanner, but it will still look great.

If this is coming then I sell my SPM Model 1:18 sooon !!! I cant wait to have a good price for mine and buy the new Aoshima version, keep up the news !!!

if it is built in SPM mode they can always have the wires run down inside or along side the struts holding up the upper nose (you can always have grooves in them for the wires to fit into).

Wow, that SPM model looks impressive! Aoshima has recently made so detailed KITT and KARR models in 1/24 I wonder if there's some diehard Knight Rider fan working in Aoshima's model designing department
Does the regular 4th season modelkit come with scanner or do you have to order it separately? I got from older threads that only 3rd season modelkit came with scanner but didn't found any definitive info about the recent 4th season model whether or not it comes with a scanner.

I have the 1/24 season 4 KITT. Have yet to fix it though.. It doesn't come with the scanner. U have to get the scanner separately. I got both the scanner and the model from HLJ, I just haven't had the time to start fixing it yet...
