Who would win.......

List reasons why you feel your choice would be defeat the other.

I think will win is Knight 2000, I hope so.

I actually think the 3000 would have the edge in a duel, simply because of the fact that it can instantly self-repair any damage it takes, whereas though the 2000's MBS is wellnigh-invulnerable, eventually it would start taking some damage, and that would build up. Whereas any damage the 3000 incurred would be in large part repaired automatically.
Then there's the K3000's heavy armament - I don't think KI2T ever had machineguns with a rate of fire of 1100 or so rounds per second, or missile launchers.
Then there's the inevitable performance gap between two sports cars developed twenty years apart.

the knight 2000 would win easily because because the mbs would protect the car, if the 3000 loses power or gets shut down the nano skin is rendered useless and would be no different than any other car on the road, and the 2000 could fire lasers and turbo boost through the knight 3000

I think it will be KI3T. It has more advanced technology that will not allow KI2T to act and attack by any means. plus, how will KI2T know that KI3T will not be able to recover if it shuts down? and how KI2T will shut down KI3T??
I love the T-Top, but I think the upper hand is for the Mustang in a challange between the two.

Pending the situation, the 3000 has an extreme edge over the 2000.

#1: The 3000 is an honest to goodness offensive vehicle. It has a pair of heavy duty machine guns. It has a modern laser. It has Electro Magnetic Pulse. (That one would seal poor Kitt's (2000) fate in a heartbeat.) I get the feeling that it's a program away from having nuclear capacity.

#2: It has that micro defense called Nanobot. These things repair damage. Change the shape of the structure. Heh...change the laws of physics. Remember how the 3000 turned sideways and didn't budge an inch when an opposing vehicle rammed it at high speed? The game of chicken between Kitt and Karr would not apply here. I suspect the 3000 wouldn't turn down a game of chicken with a battle tank.

#3: There is a strong possibility that the 3000 could have access to FLAG files on classic design. Nothing worse for a one sided battle then knowing the weaknesses of the challenger, just going into a fight. Is there a chance that the 2000's "classic" sensor array could be jammed, making an analysis nearly impossible to the point of just "seeing" the 3000??? I wouldn't doubt it.

#4: Given the nature of the 3000's abilities, there are bound to be a number of unknown variables at play here that probably give the 3000 a superior edge. I'm thinking about how a smart hacker kid from the '80s broke down the 2000's defenses with little more then RF technology. So, what could a modern AI with today's high speed do??? Walk right in and put the 2000 to sleep mode, maybe???

#5: A well equipped HQ base with tech support. After all, if FLAG is now this new team, how well supported is the 2000 going to be for repair/upgrade?

On the 2000's side...

#1: ...we have micro-jam. A very useful device for it's day that the 3000 hasn't shown having the option of. This bit is a wild card. It might prove useful in jamming up the 3000's works. Or, maybe not. Especially if the 2000 can't scan the 3000 for weak points.

#2: The 3000's truly weak point has already been proven in the show and confirmed my theory. When that transformation is in mid-stride, the car is super weak to impact and attack by other forms. The question here being "WHY" would the 3000 even bother to perform a transformation to deal with the 2000, unless it's going from/to attack mode. This is the 3000's glass jaw. One good blow during those few seconds and the 3000 is down for the count.

#3: I'm having trouble thinking of a third option. Got any good underground pits that Kitt could trick the 3000 into driving over? (Heh...that one seemed to work for over eager FLAG AI's in the past that didn't just keep their scanners running. (KITT/KRO))

Edit: Oh, wait. The 3000 can do a stationary Turbo Boost without that Trajectory Guide deal. A drop into a pit would only tick it off. So...erm...fill that pit with the toxic bath goo that ate through the 2000, then?

This wasn't a choice but it'd be a draw. Because I think neither would want to challenge the other. Or at least if they had to (ie. malfunction) they'd be trying their best to do the least amount of damage possible to the other car.

To be honest, I can see KI3T going bad. Remember that a super intelligent boy told him to ignore a command and he chose to obey. He has trust issues. He's been showing signs of rebelion. The original KI2T needed a hardware upgrade from an inside designer to go bad. What's it say when a cleaver conversation could create a highly dangerous road predator with weapons under the hood? KI3T could easily become a threat that the original KARR could never match.

These are just amazing I will print them and share them with freinds and family. I know a couple of guys working in a Ford delarship, I think they will love it

KI3T maybe more technologically advanced, but KI2T has more experience.

While KI2T may have more experience, not only does KI3T have a technological edge, but he is also and incredibly fast learner. I think that it would be close, but KI3T would come out on top.

I like that approach far better. It's missing one detail, though.

K.I.2.T & K.I.3.T. drive off down the wide open California street of some small town into the sun set. The window shrinks around them as the Beach Boy's song "California Girls" plays for the ending sequence. The classic KITT border would of course filter in around the shrinking window.

Well they do say that age and treachary will beat youth and skill everytime, so thats one point to KI2T.
