This article is already being talked about over here.

Unless you have an actual link... A search of THR turns up this. ... finale meaning season finale.
The second "Idol" (22.8 million, 7.8/22) of the week similarly dominated Wednesday, though lead-out "Lie to Me" slipped to a new low. NBC's "Knight Rider" (5.7 million, 1.7/5) had a quiet finale against "Idol," while the return of the CW's "America's Next Top Model" (3.9 million, 1.8/6) improved on last fall's debut. ABC's "Lost" (10.7 million, 4.9/12) continued its ratings see-sawing, up this week.

It said Hollywood Reporter as a source for that information. I can't find the independent article though which means its not legit and my post was wrong. We'll definitively know what's going on in the next 2-3 weeks anyway when NBC announces the fall lineup. They already announced the Summer 09 lineup which doesn't mean anything to KR, but it indicates the fall slate being announced is right around the corner. I'm pretty pumped for it. I'm curious to see what NBC does.
NBC's summer lineup:

""Great American Road Trip" - newly announced today - will debut on Wednesday, July 1 (8-9 p.m. ET) and will continue for eight weeks."
So it will end before september and it's KR's time slot right now. Hope they won't cancel KR08, however wednesday is just like friday: it means nothing good for tv shows.

NBC will post fall schedules on May 5th. if we don't find out before then, then we should know by that date.

For now, if you get that kind of news from a source that is not NBC, it shouldn't be taken seriously.

There will be one of the following two ways to know for sure if NBC cancels Knight Rider.
1. They will announce it or
2. They won''t announce it but they will take down the KNight Rider site at NBC.com along with the forums on the site too also along with removing any reference to Knight Rider on the site. They did that with Bionic Woman last yaer, rather then announcing that they cancelled Bionic Woman they instead took the bionic Woman page on NBC.com along with the Bionic Woman forum on the NBC boards.
So in the meantime don't believe anything you read on the net unless it comes from NBC itself or from Gary Scott Thompson himself.

I saw the following article posted in the NBC.com KR blog, and the article itself can be found at:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090318/film_nm/us_prinze" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Essentially it says that Paul Campbell (Billy Morgan) has signed on to an ABC comedy including Freddie Prinze, Jr. Here's the question - does that mean that Campbell (and the others at KR) may have been released from their contracts at Universal, suggesting that KR08 is not returning? Anyone have any thoughts, ideas, hopes, etc.? I haven't seen too many actors appearing on two different shows, let alone different networks.
Interesting that they refer to BG and not KR when naming Campbell.
I'm worried...
=====
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Freddie Prinze Jr. will star on ABC's comedy pilot "No Heroics," which revolves around four B-list superheroes living among us.
Three of the central characters will be played by Eliza Coupe, Arielle Kebbel and Canadian actor Paul Campbell ("Battlestar Galactica"), who plays the leader of the group, Pete, aka Chillout, a Canadian-born superhero who can freeze small objects.
Prinze will play his nemesis and tormentor, Bradley, aka Ultimatum, the personification of everything Pete despises and secretly wishes he could be. An A-list superhero, Bradley is a handsome, cocky and egotistical alpha male who has all the women and fame and money a guy could want.
With Prinze signing on for the "No Heroics" gig, both he and his wife (and "Scooby-Doo" co-star) Sarah Michelle Gellar are on comedy pilot duty. She headlines HBO's "The Wonderful Maladys."
For Prinze, "Heroics" marks a return to ABC, where he toplined the short-lived 2005 sitcom "Freddie."

If I may, I'll direct you to the topic in the link below where we've been discussing this pilot he's going to be in. It really doesn't mean anything at this point.
