KR08 on New Zealand television from tonight

Knight Rider 08 has been picke dup and started showing on New Zealand's C4 channel.

The pilot movie is playing tonight and the episodes start next Monday night at 7:30 on C4, which is a MTV-like channel.

It's kind of interesting that it's been put on that channel instead of a mainstream channel. Makes me wonder how it's being marketed to the international community. Is NBC pushing it with the likes of Smallville and other "teen" shows?

Here's C4's promo page

It was annouced at the TV3 launch last year, so it was expected to be playing on that channel in HD. But the channel shifted it to C4 insetad, along with a few other shows like "Dexter". C4 doesn't have full coverage in NZ (if you don't count digital television).

And even a lot of places with coverage have really bad reception of both TV3 and C4, although I think C4 is worse.

Which all means the show will have a very small audience in this country (not only because of reception issues, but also because C4 is a teen channel) and can't be watched by a lot of people who might actually want to watch it.

Bad Karma all around really. :(
