I was flipping through the channels as I was getting ready for work and I saw Bruce Davidson. I had never looked into his past acting history, so I had no idea what this was.

The tv guide channel told me that it was The Librarian- The Curse of the Judas Chalice.

I had never gotten into the movie series: The Librarian. However, I really liked the 20 minutes I did get to see. It was a little more scary than I perfer but the CG artistry was really nice.

Bruce Davidson played a master Vampire (I think). I saw a whole different side to Dr. Graiman.

Bruce Davidson also played in the movie "Willard", the sequel to the 1972 movie "Ben". Mr. Davidson is a remarkable actor & he will be missed on "KR'08".

The first movie I ever saw him in was one that imdb doesn't even have listed. It was a bio-pic about Jan and Dean, the 60's surfer group. It was called "Dead Man's Curve" and was filmed in 1978 and he played Dean, the tenor for the group. Here is a link for a place that sells the movie online.

I remember he did a few Seinfeld episodes, as head of the Susan Ross foundation or something (shame he never really got to do anything regarading the foundation in KR).

Or... Hunter the tv show from the 80's with Fred Dryer. He was the police captain in the first few seasons.

That was him??? I remember watching that movie when it came on HBO in 79 or 80. Oh man, I'm starting to feel old... :(

I really like this actor and will really miss him on KR. He was perfect to play Sarah's father and be a father figure to Mike.

Bruce Davison (no second "d") also played the defense attorney in Runaway Jury, he played the main character's father in Breach, he was in High Crimes...And of course, fans of the first two X-Men movies will have recognized Senator Robert Kelly. :)

I'm REALLY gonna miss Charles. I can't believe they're killing him off, I mean it'd be like killing Devon in KR(TOS)...unless they did do that.
I mean, Carrie brings nothing to the show of any significance, and Torres

turns out to be the bad guy, as I expected, so his leaving is no real loss
. But damnit, Charles was my favorite character besides KITT.

Same here. I always loved the parts where he's being protective of Sarah, teases her a little about her relationship with Mike (My favorite part was in Knight Fever where he says "Friends? Is that what they're calling it these days?" ) He will definitely be missed and I have a feeling I'm going to be crying right along with Sarah tomrrow night.

He played in an episode of Terminator as the shrink that analyzed Sarah. After the FBI agent confronted him about it and showed him a piece of a Terminator he went nuts and they put him in what looked like Sarah's old holding cell at the mental institution. http://movies.nytimes.com/person/17454/Bruce-Davison

Yes, bad habit, doesn't help that he has occasionally used Davidson as well.

Just as Edward Mulhare did in TOS, Bruce Davison brings such experience and a touch of class to the new show... I'm gonna hate to see him go, but that is the way of TV and "red tape"...

I do remember that. He was always insinuating that George killed Susan. haha

What I can't understand is why exactly Bruce decided to leave the series. I was quite bummed about his character's death. And the fact that Ricardo Montalban died exactly the same day that particular episode aired definitely added insult to injury.

I've had occasion to meet him and have a very enjoyable chat. He is a terrific guy and a fine actor. He will be missed on KR.

From everything I've read, Bruce didn't decide to leave, he was let go (like the other two) due to the show's retooling. I wish they hadn't let him go. He was a great part of the show.

Not to mention he was likely the most expensive cast member by far and probably paid more than the four remaining on screen cast members combined, if not close to that. I'm sure he and STP were probably contracted for the first 13 if the backdoor pilot went to series and Yancy for the first 13 as well with an option for more and they just weren't picked up.

Hi,

I'm new to the site and forum. I like the new KR dispite its flaws but just one question. I used to watch the original series when i was a kid and loved it. However i have no recolection of Bruce's charater Dr Graiman? was he in the original? it seems like your supposed to know who he is in the pilot they created. I have a few dvd's of the series but not the whole lot which might explain my confusion

cheers

No, Dr. Graiman is a new character introduced specifically for KR '08.
