Since everyone is posting threads about things they hated and over-critical BS.....I'm making one about everthing people liked about it....

I love the Normal Mode KITT.

I Love the way Bill and Zoe interact with each other!!! Its like how me and my friends act all the time.

I liked the way KITT kept asking bill to open the door or he was going to crash thru it...that was awesome!

I liked Val Klimer as KITTs Voice he was good
Attack Mode
Tubro Boost
Transformations and the HUD display in kitt and in the SSC.

There's so much to like!

- KITT himself! The AI Personality, the car
- Turbo Boost!
- The HUD thing!
- The 3-bar in the vox
- The way Billy used gesture-motions to move windows to other monitors (I've heard that MS was experimenting with that in real life?)
- The story itself is very interesting, leaving you to want to know more
- The KITT Cave! (SSC)

It's all cool!

-Hud looks good!
-Real 180's off the plane.
-Miss Russo, especially when she got almost naked.
-Whoosh whoosh came back for KITT's scanner.
-Billy

Normal mode - attack mode is redundant IMO.
The acting was 10 x better than the movie.
Classic scanner sound effect was a nice touch, and didn't sound as cheesy as I thought it would. Loved it.
Any scenes of the car driving (there wasn't enough)
Mike Tracer changing to Michael Knight
The classic voice modulator lightly in the snow globe (idea: make it more prominant as KITT evolves! We all want it!)
Zoe (hot!) and that the show has sex appeal. Everyone whining about this needs to chill out and eat some prunes.

In no particular order:

• Turbo boost!!!
• The original "whoosh whoosh" sound is back!
• The transformations were cool (unbelievable sure, but I don't watch KR for "realism")
• Interaction between KITT and Mike was much improved over the February movie.
• Deanna Russo seems to have added hotness since the movie.
• The KITTCave rocks.
• The plane is back!
• Spy Gear!
• Love the new Attack Mode.
• Love the transition to Michael Knight.

The soundtrack

KITT and his already evolving personality
- The way he was going to do what was needed to save Michael and Sarah (just as KI2T was programmed to preserve human life)
- The way he called Michael, "Michael," like KI2T
- The reference to him learning
- The way he's obviously trying to understand human behavior
- The fact that he was pretty stern in saying that he was quite sure he was actually concerned for Michael and Sarah
- His smarmy attitude with Billy ("I'll tell you where your mistake was.")

The Tension between FBI and Foundation/Knight Industries people
- In our day and time, we'd kind of expect a team like the KR team to be under governmental supervision.
- So it kind of needs to be in the show
- So why not have some tension there (much like in the KR 2000 movie)
- How Michael's past will fit in to all of this could be interesting.

Nods to the original show
- "My dad's original name was Michael Long." (sounds like a porn star name)
- KITT's scanner sound, turbo boost, "Blah blah blah, Michael," back of vehicle in pursuit mode, vocal modulator (which is totally the old one, but souped up...this is noticeable even when watching on Hulu)
- The whole notion of Michael Traceur becoming Michael Knight
- Theme song still incorporating elements of the original

Chemistry of characters
- Zoe and Billy
- Michael and Sarah (especially as the episode progressed)
- Graiman and everyone (for whatever reason I really like his character...guess it's partially the Devon quality he brings)
- Support characters and Michael (when playing basketball at the end)

I know there's more. That's all I remember at the moment.

- The HUD... the damn HUD... want that HUD baaaaaaaad...
- The dash design (man I so want to put blue lights in my car after watching this!)
- The Orb (do you notice that the red dot in the orb can move off-center as if it is KITT's eye?)
- Graiman is becoming more and more Devon-like...
- Zoe is so hot and sexy...
- Deanna is hotter though... with an eye that can melt any guy's heart...
- The overall story (what happened back there in Iraq? Beirut? what's with Mike's past?)
- Michael-KITT interaction (like when he was telling KITT to shut off the video)
- Mike's priceless facial expression when that above video was being shown on the KITT Cave --> o_0!!!!
- Torres' loads of 'classified' folders when KITT was investigating him, adds mystery to the character
- etc... etc... loads of etc...

Overall I loved the episode.

I liked:
- the Knight Rider feeling (Mike moves like Michael in the casino)
- the Knight Rider humor, it was sooo KR, I laughed out loud during some scenes (Mike being dragged into this room by two thugs, then coming out alone; "KITT: deploy the flares"). Awesome!
- KITT in standard mode
- the scanner sound
- the way they put in Val Kilmer's voice as KITT, it was so much better than in the pilot. (different volume and noise levels depending on where the viewer stands in relation to KITT)
- Turbo Boost, although I miss the button

I'm not so fond of:
- Attack Mode, I can't get used to that design
- some of the race scenes are too much 2 fast 2 fourious and therefore not very realistic. I prefer less CGI here
- The neon KR logo under the Attack Mode... wtf?
- KITT cave is too cold and crowdy, doesn't really feel like home

Things that were not bad, but a little bit annoying:
- the music throughout the episode. Often it was too loud, and I don't really like the NFS or 2F2F music style

But overall I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Background story is very interesting, it's something complete different compared to other shows, it has a KR feeling and it is fun. With room for improvements I really really hope this series lasts long.
So tune in on Wednesday, I will.

Forgot a couple last night:

• Loved the lit up instrument panel and the HUD.
• Zoe is quirky and da hotness.
• Nice build up of mystery behind Mike's past.
• Hints of a larger story arc.

Well I only saw the first 10 mins or so however I liked it...I think the scanner sound coming back is a nice touch, lots of action in that 10 mins and I sure there more. Turbo Boost being there is nice no matter how or opinions of it, that is cool..Looking forward to next week....

I loved KITTS blunt answers, you know he's being serious, but it was funny, they got that part totally right. I thought Justing was actually pretty good, his tone of voice, comedic timing and facial expressions were great whenever KITT said something that made him feel stupid or uncomfortable, like how he should excercise more and cut down on the sex, lol.

The soundtrack

I loved the soundtrack too....very rockstar!

I love the famous line keep your scanners pealed.They used it as:

Michael Keep your eyes pealed.
Kitt:I don't have eyes i'm a computer.

Turbo Boost shows the tech behind the idea we are used to but never questioned how it works.

Kitt said i'm the property of knight industries as the original did in knight in disgrace.

The scanner sound is closer to the original series than the pilot had it.

They mentioned Michael Long instead of knight.If they bring up 1 fact from the old series in each episode it would make me somewhat happy that it connects to the original series in away.

We now have Michael Knight back on the streets with a Kitt.Somethign we have wanted for decades...(Shut up elliot from Knight and nerd)

We know that we had to have Michael Traceur die in the second episode to protect his identity and in a way making another similarity to the original series.This also bring about a new Michael Knight.Wonder if this solves the problem we had with Michael in the original series where he only existed for up to 4 years.Now this Michael Knight has a background from 1982.

After 5 days without power due to Ike, I was finally able to watch it on NBCs website last night.

I liked it. It had heart. It had "cheese". It had the theme music.

Watching it, I was smiling like a loon. There aren't many shows on TV that are fun to watch. Interesting, yes, but just plain old fun, not so much. This was fun!

Good:
KITT. He's got a great personality, love the voice, HUD too die for.
Billy. Good character, I'm always a fan of secondary characters anyway.
Charles. Not as useless as I feared after the movie. Cool.
Sarah being all concerned about KITT. Taking off her O2 to check on KITT. Reminded me of Bonnie.

Not so Good: The KR on the bottom of KITT was the only thing that made me cringe. Makes me wonder if KITT got into some alternative fuel, woke up the next morning wondering "How in the ----- did that get there?"

I found the link 2 minutes before i had to leave for work so naturally i only watched 13 minutes and came late to work that day lol.All day long i couldn't wait to leave work to come home and watch the entire episode.I even considered clocking out 30 minutes early for it but didn't.We must cundoct ourrselves with some self control.

I watched it AT work! hahah

I liked everything except the look of KITT in attack mode. But then I'm a fan of the car in stock mode (even true with the original).

Oh and the HUD rocked the house.

I have to say that i really enjoyed the episode, it wasn't perfect and had it's flaws but at the end of the day it was pure simple fun

What I Liked:

The old scanner sound - That already makes KI3T 100 times more likeable

Turbo boost - nice to see it return, effect could have been a bit better but was still quite acceptable

Sarah - being naturally hot and stripping down to undewear

Zoe - being naturally hot and being a tease

The banter between Zoe and Billy - was quite fun, instantly had me rooting for billy to win her affections someday

Charles Graiman - appears to have geniune authority and has a fatherly and slight devon like appeal to him

Vals voice - fits KI3T rather well

KI3T banter - wanting to point out Billys flaws in his calculations. His snippyness to being talked at as if only a machine and as such devoid of emotion. Comments about Mike's feelings and bodily reactions towards Sarah. How easy it was to believe torres and carrie and high ranking government officials should automatically be trusted. His questioning of Mike about whether just unwilling to talk about his past or possibilities of why he cant remember.

KI3T having his own agenda? - The way he monitored Torres and Graimans private conversation, which i assume he has recorded to use for his own purposes and what this could mean for future episodes and story arcs. For me this makes the idea of KI3T going rogue all the more real.

Mikes questionable past - i like that there is a part of mike that he himself isn't sure about. I like that is obviously a multi story arc idea that could continue through all 13 episodes and beyond. There is also the added twist that Torres has a history with mike, this is the part that intrigues me most.
A thought had occured to me that KR2008's anwswer to Garthe could be a alternate evil personality of Mike's, of similar vein of what Angelus is to Angel.

A Team with conflicting loyalties - The tension between Mike and Carrie where her being an FBI agent is obviously a sore point, the fact that Carrie and especially Torres and Graiman all seem to know about Mikes past and have no problem about keeping the others in the dark about it.

KI3T being more or less full functional while on fire - It was just plain cool and made him appear indestructible

The whereabouts of the package - Torres say that he is now in witness protection but comments how cannot be allowed to fall into the wrong hands and the expresion on Graimans face that followed. To me that says he may have been killed or at least would be if need be.

Taking the mantle Michael Knight - It just is more Knight Rider with a Michael Knight, plus to me Mike Traceur was always a pretty lame name, it always seemed like a really pathetic attempt to make a cool sounding hero name. I also really like how he chose it himself, for me it's as if he now understands why his father had to be who he was.

The improved acting - no further explanation needed

What I Didn't Like:

The neon KR underneath KI3T - I know this show isn't meant to be serious but come on! it looks unbelievably crap and the idea that a top secret car would leave such a tell tail mark of where it was made is just plain ridiculous.

Billy fainting - I don't mind Billy being used regulary for a bit of comic relief and i'm fine with him perhaps not being perfectly suitesd to being super spy technition but being so intelligent that he is a valuable part of the team but fainting. The throwing up was ok, makes him a bit of wuss but otherwise ok but fainting thats like placing a neon sign that reads "I dont deserve respect" permantly above his head.

Looking for Mike Traceur - It may have been a interesting turn of events that the villians of the story wanted to know the whereabouts of Mike Traceur over the important top secret files but why now surely they've had years to track him down when he was a civilian.

The demise of Mike Traceur - Fair enough Mike's past came back to haunt him and the issue need to be addressed and a faking his death was probably the right move. However Carrie just shoots him and gives the girl a disgusting amount of time to make her escape, surely that just screams set up.

The So-So's

Attack Mode KI3T - doesn't look great but i could get used to it

The 4x4 Mode - I'm not really feeling KI3T as a truck, but it's early days i could embrace it in the future. Fair enough it fitted ok for the escape scene at the start but what made that the mode need to travel on train tracks.

1. KITT morphs into a F-150! YEE HAW! As per the railroad tracks, BNSF and UP (around here) do use the F-series trucks with special adapters to travel on train tracks, for checking and safety.
2. Sarah seems more relaxed in her own skin and more human.
3. The other employees at Knight Industries seem more believable.
4. Attack KITT- liked him more than I thought I would.
5. Swoosh noise is back, and KITT discusses and argues more than he did in the pilot.


So-so: I think Zoe was a tart. She reminds me of too many women at my school... but at least she has a brain.
The first episode seemed to have a lot of gaps in the plot but I assume that's for later shows.
Another vote against the neon on the running boards... every cheapa$$ ricer owned by a 17 year old around here has neon.
Russo stripping- whatever. I don't care. That just says "appeal to testosterone" to me... I know the show has a large male audience but please.

Er... Well...

It was better than Power Rangers. Slightly.

That's about as good as I can do.

-Felt like a little kid when i saw the words turbo boost, yea may not be perfect but its great to have it back
-Zoey's quick comments were great, especially when shes like "we should make a baby"......"no" haha
-Kitt's voice, the fact that hes learning, and especially the touch screen windshield
-Kitt in normal mode, for some reason it looked real sharp

And most of all we finally got that "wow" factor we needed, i hope this series will stay on for a while
