Whys it look like kitt is sitting in a pond?

That definitely is NOT William Daniels. But that KITT I think was one being shown at Universal a long time back. It was propped up on a lift/bridge over some water. I don't know why they did it like that either.

Why are all the interesting videos in other languages?

While that indeed sounds nothing like KITT, one thing I do have to say for him is that he got Daniels' "R"s right. The way he says the letter R is pretty distinct and, from what I've heard from other impersonators, is the hardest part of his voice to emulate.

In the first Davilex game, I thought they did an excellent job matching KITT's voice but got the Rs wrong. Ironically, this nailed the Rs and nothing else. (Then in the second game they just gave a KITT a straight-up British accent which is totally wrong.)

I believe in the second game KITT became british somehow!!

That 'R' thing comes from the way some folks in New York City (particularly Brooklyn, where Mr. Daniels is from) talk. It's part of the dialect. If they got someone with a similar sounding voice that was from Brooklyn, they could nail it pretty good. Perhaps that guy doing that KITT at Universal was from the NYC area at one time.

Listening to the video, if the guy doing the voice had been less nasally sounding he would have probably pegged it more accurately.

KITT isn't there anymore they totally remodeled that part of the park. I was there in 99 and asked where KITT was and he said they took him out a few years ago. I was so hopping mad because that's the reason why I went to Universal Studios Hollywood.

I have no idea why they put KITT on the water like that unless they were trying to simulate him running on the water like he did in Return to Cadiz.

Which certainly was not the coolest thing he ever did...I'd prefer if they set him up on pavement. Or in the semi...
