I saw "Spamalot", the play based upon Monty Python and the Holy Grail. One of the lines goes something like this:

"Your name shall be revered throughout the land of Las Vegas alongside the greats like Wayne Newton and David Hasselhoff."

It can't be denied: the Hoff makes an impact wherever he goes!

I don't know whether that's in the real script of the show "Spamalot" or not, but actually it's a bit of a compliment to DH himself, albeit in a weird way.
