I am just a very opinionated person and stick to my likes and beliefs. I guess that's why I am single...lol. I plan on staying that way too so I can do whatever I want...ha.

I didn't say I didn't like James Bond. I just said KR wouldn't be the same without David. I guess that's because I am a GIRL...lol.

IMO, you can't really compare a change with the Bond franchise because Bond has been subjected to so many actor changes that I believe that people have grown accustomed to it.
We all know Bond has to have a different actor every now and again but Knight Rider is still original.
I am a hardcore fan and I also want Hasselhoff and the original people involved..at least I wishfully hope so but I know there's no chance of that since Edward passed on.
We all are going to have to be prepared for change in certain aspects and I'll personally go into the movie with an open mind about it.
The key thing is to stick to the theme and style. You have those two elements, you have an almost decent film.

I think people need to calm down here......The veins on your foreheads will pop otherwise
Wth or without Hasselhoff, We could still be in for a real treat and I'm sure larson will keep the reins on the movie, So that it keeps in a similar tone....Even if ends up being different visuallly?
I enjoyed the Dukes movie for that reason, I wasn't seeing an exact frame for frame repeat, But rather a new approach.
lets all just wait for the movie to come out, Before we unleash the dogs of war on The Weinstein Company.

Skav, I agree with you to the extent that as long as the theme and style is similar to the original KR, we have a chance of a half-decent film, thats been my ideology. I think pretty much everyone on this board would consider themselves hardcore, but I think some are probably not as prepared for changed as you are.
Given James Bond was probably not a good way to put it, but I'm pretty sure there was a moment that Bond fans thought only Connery owned the role before he was replaced. I would admit that I would prefer Hasselhoff but thats primarily because no one but him has played the role. Whose to say their could be better? we simply don't know as we haven't seen any better.....choices, choices.
I think I'm prepared for whatever change comes. Larson holds the key and I would argue it is him more than Hasselhoff that will decide how great this film will be.
The new Transformers film crew have the right idea. Listening to the fans concerns and ideas, having the original voice actors do auditions but that does not mean the original actors are automatic choices. If they hear someone better, thats who they will pick. I don't like the idea of picking someone on past performances alone.
Have to wait and see how it all pans out, but I'm not going to complain a KR movie. I'l be going in with no expectations.

Oh I'm not upset or anything so no need for me to calm down. I am actually enjoying stating my opinion...lol. Being that I have loved David since I was 4 yrs old I guess that would be the reason I would want him in the movie. I am also VERY picky about what movies I go and see so that would be another reason. Just having fun here...to me anyway...hehe.

Hey everybody, I'm new to the Knight Rider online forum. When I heard the rumour that David Hasselhoff isn't going to be in the Knight Rider movie, I thought I'd check out the forums and see what other fans thought. I honestly wouldn't want to see a new Knight Rider movie unless David Hasslehoff and William Daniels were involved. I thought I read somewhere awhile ago that David Hasselhoff was going to be a big part of the Knight Rider movie as Michael Knight, but Michael Knight would be heading up the Knight Foundation in Devon's place and that a new, younger guy would team up with KITT to fight crime. Anybody else read the same thing?

Yeah I read that too. I hope that would be true. I would go and see the movie if that happened.
