Oh yes, alcohol and drugs are certainly not reducing the crime rate. Worldwide. Here in Germany, we´ve been flooded with criminals from the former Sowjet Union since the fall of the Berlin wall, and the streets aren´t as safe, as they used to be.
FuzzieDice wrote:Zeitgeist: Actaully, when I was at the German fest, I asked them how they made the saurkraut and they mentioned those were in the ingredients. I of course altered stuff a bit. If you get the right amount of brown sugar it's not bad. Sugar does cut down on the acid of the vinegar in the saurkraut and that helps as I can't have too much acid-based foods. If it weren't for that, I'd probably eat the stuff right out of the can.
Hm... all this talking kinda makes me hungry.
Maybe I´ll eat some Sauerkraut tomorrow.

Yes, Engel was a good song. Actually, that´s the one I heard in 1997, I think it was.
"Erst wenn die Engel schlafen gehen, kann man uns am Himmel sehen..."

I love Rammstein's Tier (Sehnsucht CD). That one REALLY rocks!

Dunno what it says but it's cool anyway.
I love KMFDM's SturmandDrang. "Mein K.M.F.D.M.!!!"

Welcome karenin!

I'm sure you'll find a few other Germans here (both from Germany and from the US). I don't know the language but I've always wanted to learn.

hi fuzzie! thank you for the welcome, and eventhough I'm not planning to find just german speaking kr-fans here, I'm sure there'll be a few of them

but due to the fact that I'm - besides others - studying anglistics, I prefer to talk - write

- in English anyway
@trooper: yeah, this page is great, especially due to the more or less very good translations. I'm just wondering, how Rammstein may sound to a non-German-speaking people

Well, i'm not german speaking and i like the group a lot, even when i read the lyrics to the songs from Rammstein that interest me most, like Engel and Laichzeit, Tier, Der Meister, Du Hast....hmm...what else? i know there are a few more favs, just can't remember lol.

karenin - You do quite well with English.

I've noticed a lot of fans from many countries here and their English is very readable. That's what I like about this board - so many people from all over the world to communicate with.

Hi people,
Rammstein were SUPERB at the concert!! The NEC arena, in Birmingham, was almost sold out, just a few empty seats and the atmosphere was great.
The build up was great, they had a big curtain covering the stage, which fell down when Reise Reise started first of all, revealing the band.
Till, the vocalist, came onto the stage through a lit door, at first revealing his shadow as he walked on slowly.
Nearly every song was greeted with pyrotechnic fire and shooting flames....I was at the front, on the side.
The whole concert was actually being filmed so it looks like a DVD of it will be on it's way soon.
They also played a new song from a new album, which gets released around October.
Unfortunately, when the song, Rammstein, played...one of the flame throwers that Till had to shoot flames into the air, had a problem with it and a guy came on stage to try to quickly fix it but with no luck. But that didn't detract from anything.
Till actually gave a thumbs up to all of us for singing Du Hast really well with him.
Came home with a t-shirt, poster and one of those bank notes made to have a picture of rammstein on it with 'The bank of Rammstein' on the £20 note. It was only £2 so I thought I may as well.
If anyone wants some pics, let me know and I'll send you some.
On the whole, I was really pleased...this is the second time I've seen them this year.

This whole topic should be moved to The Lounge. It really doesn't have anything to do with Knight Rider. Just, Rammstein, He-man, and Sauerkraut.
BTW, anyone know when Rammstein is coming back to the good ol' USA?

TurbomanKnight,
I've sent you some pics.
If anyone else wants a few, leave me your email address and I'll send you some.
This forum doesn't allow uploading images from hard drives, I don't think and I don't have a site to put them on as of yet.
Unfortunately, R+ don't tour the US that frequently, I'm not sure why this is but I hope they go there for you guys soon.

hmm... I would live to see your pix of the show
Skav~If anyone else wants a few, leave me your email address and I'll send you some.
but, I really don't like to post my E-Mail address, due to SPAM Spiders
Although, until you get your site up a running, you give this a try
Just upload your pictures to an Image Hosting Site.
Like one of these....
ImageShack® Hosting
http://img126.echo.cx/
Photobucket
http://i13.photobucket.com/
Then after you have done that, copy the (URL) address,
an then jus paste it in your next post
However, I do agree with
TurbomanKnight about someone should start a New Thread in
The Lounge jus for deep Rammstein Discussion
Then another one should be created for He-man, Cartoons and Anime discussion
Just a thought

thanks a lot. just need a lot more practice.

but yea, you're right - anyone can think about the English language whatever he or she wants, but it definitely connects people all over the world...!
concerning rammstein: I've seen them live three times, this year at the Aerodrome in Austria, last year in the Stadthalle (Vienna) and also this year on a private gig where only 100 people were invited, and all I can say: the smaller the hall, the better the show, the more kick ass!

I've created a new Rammstein topic in the Lounge area in respect to this forum for KR...there you will see a link to photos I've put up on PhotoBucket.
Thanks goes to K.A.R.R. Crazed!
