I had that idea too, I'm working on it right now but its proving a little tricky getting the black looking real good. If I can get a really nice solid black and the Kitt overhaul looks good I'll share the wallpaper.

Messing with gradient overlays and thought this looked fun so I figured I'd show you guys, excuse the crudity of the image its a bit messy at the moment. The final image should be a nice deep black with scanner etc...

a request to all. can you please post the Picture only without a screen capture of the desktop??? with screen capture, the icons will be displayed and will not be good if copyed from the thread.

Well seeing as you liked it I decided to finish this one just for you. He's been cleaned up, scanners been added and has black stripes now instead.

Actually, I've never had a Knight Rider or car based wallpaper. (Though, on a previous computer, I did have a rotating wallpaper that included cars and a couple Trans-Am's.) My current wallpaper is from a very good friend, giving a graphic representation of my inner self. Used to be a map of the whole world at night with all the night lighting to be seen at once.

Here is my desktop. As much as I love Knight Rider, I'm looking more forward to Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen this summer. Since none of the wallpapers I have found online actually have the ROTF title in them (that have The Fallen in it) I made my own wallpaper for my desktop.

I've had a thought regarding the green and turquoise elements in the sky. What do you think about replacing them with an old school purple and orange effect?

I'm glad you like it! I nick named that picture "Hippy-Kitt" lol. The all black one's proving to be more tricky to get right, when I overlayed the black I found that the mask is not as clean as it should be and needs tidying up. Hopefully the final image will be at least as good as the first one.

I like the sound of that, do you mean changing the hue to match TOS intro or replacing the sky altogether?

Yeah, I'm just thinking about the hue of the existing sky, cause it's style really suits the overall design of the initial image.

The wallpaper is one I actually made. Glad folks are enjoying it but please do tell where you got it from. Best link to the actual post, not just the file.

Yeah, that's kinda what I had in mind. I'd probably leave the bulk of the sky dark blue though, and change the color of the effects within the sky rather than the whole sky to try and give it the vibe from the credits of Knight of the Phoenix before the overwhelmingly purple hue was added.

My old avatar from the UK Knight Rider forum should give you a good idea of what I'm thinking colorwise.
