Obviously, my knowledge comes from watching the show. How else would I know what Knight Rider is all about?
No mate, you're not the only one. I found his post to be condescending, both in tone and in context. Suffice to say that new members who start off on such a poor note, have a long way to go before they'll manage to rid themselves of the "bad apple" tag.

As best as I can tell, knightdogg's question is the one that's currently on the table…
