KITT's Voice

Check this out.

This is not Val Kilmer's voice. If this is Arnett then maybe Val was a better alternative.

I agree....that voice isn't fitting at all.
KNIGHT RIDER RELOADED is a series of movies on Youtube to represent a different creative avenue to the Knight Rider we knew in 2008-09.

I haven't heard anyone complain about Val Kilmer, I think he was a good choice, I'm glad the other guy fell though.

The sound of Val Kilmer's voice is much better and suiting. However, the personality/performance is what falls flat. In all fairness, he was a last-minute addition to the cast and the new K.I.T.T. is supposed to have an infantile personality. However, if Will Arnett's voice sounded more K.A.R.R.-like, a better, more human-like approach could have been better than simply having a voice that sounded like classic K.I.T.T. but no human characteristics.

It’s true, it’s a little flat in the movie, but I think that is more because of what lines he has. I think he comes across better in the four part Ford commercial. What do you think?

Agreed. Even with VK's even tone, you can read everything from menace to jealousy in his voice. If he does the voice like that in the movie I think it'd be great. I suspect those commercials were filmed after the movie and when he had already done the VO for the movie. He would have been at a greater comfort level at that point, perhaps explaining why he injects more personality into the voice in those commercials.
