This movie has been rumored to be on and off development for a number of years. Many rumors have spread, and are still believed to be accurate.

What we know to be true:
  * [[David Hasselhoff]] and [[Glen Larson]] are working together to produce the film.
  * It was once in the hands of Revolution Studios to produce, but according to Hasselhoff, they didn't want the car to talk so they walked.
  * Hasselhoff has admitted that he will have a role in this film.


What is up in the air:
  * It is not known what will be included in the history of Knight Rider, or where the movie will pick up.
  * The car, and or cars are unkown.
  * While there were a couple of writers attached back when the movie was at Revolution, they have not been mentioned again in a number of years.
  * Some rumor sites suggest that the story line will be featuring Michael Knights son. While Hasselhoff has mentioned this in the past, he hasn't done so in a number of years which leads us to believe it might no longer be true.
  * IMDB lists Sammo Hung Kam-Bo as the director of the film. Because this information has not been mentioned on a respectible source like Variety, and IMDB is based on user submissions, this information too is questionable.

What has been debunked or has a strong chance of not happening:
  * The film will not be called Super Knight Rider 3000
