Josch - thanks so much for those close up shots and the title translations. I'll make sure those go in the book!

Hey Josch -
I'm quite intrigued with those German novels by Frank Garrett - do any of them contain characters from the series (besides Michael, KITT, Devon, etc). Do any have April or Garthe in them for example?
Thanks,
Joe

Lets not forget about the brilliant 1/18 ERTL KITT & 1/18 AOSHIMA KARR models that was released in late 2004.
And most recently, Hitari, a UK based company, have come up with an awesome KITT R/C car complete with KITT's voice and working scanner and engine sounds!!!! 1/15 in scale.... >>>>

Looks like it's the whipshifter KITT. I don't know more details about it but there's good source for information about Knight Rider models at KRUK modelling forum.

Is that what it is? I don't know about the whipshifter toy, but I think I might have just the thing, except without the whip handle.

The image in Joe's message was originally from the same model you have, it later changed to that other model.
Thanks for the great pics of the whipshifter KITT, it has pretty accurate shape and the nose even have the lines defining the turnsignal covers in front of the headlights, next to the scanner.
My friend used to have it in the 80's, man it had to take pretty heavy turboboosts & other KITT stunts when he played with it outdoors. Thanks to the rubber nose it actually could take some stress without breaking down... well, immediatly at least. Eventually it went pretty bad shape...
