are there any fans (irish or otherwise) of the late great understated Edward Mulhare, who on these boards will be fabled as being 'British' or 'English' because of the Devon character where, in actual fact he was Irish, which is a different part of Europe (albeit nearby, but no monarchy...) but not part of UK at all
does anyone know of his opinion on this in his life??
(aside from KR ive only really noticed him in one film, i think he was a ghost or something but again he portrayed a pseudo 'british' accent..)

I knew he was Irish. I was reading about him online a couple weeks ago. He was in a tv show called The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. It ran for 2 seasons. My mom remembers watching it. He was often compared to Rex Harrison and they did kinda interchange the same roles, tv, film and stage. Rex was in the movie for the Ghost and Mrs. Muir. Rex was also in My Fair Lady the movie and Edward took over the role on stage on Broadway.

I am hoping to get a webpage going to have a memorial for him. In addition to his television work, he was also an accomlished theatre actor. He was very talented, and I loved him. RIP!

I've recorded episodes from Murder she wrote and MacGyver where Edward Mulhare guest starred, he did great job on them.
I also have recorded Star Trek TNG and MacGyver episodes where Patricia McPherson guest starred, have been trying to collect shows that includes KR cast.

Republic of Ireland does NOT have a monarch and whilst it may be part of 'British Isles' is not part of the united kingdom, with the exeption of N Ireland which is.....
Edward Mulhare was from Cork (strangely enough, where i was born too!) which is in the S/E region of the Republic...
anyway the idea of a memorial would be a good one...
