This isn't the Opening-Titles sequence that we got in the UK - ours was alot more busy and action-driven - loads more montage shots from various episodes, such as explosions, different shots of the cast, etc.

Anyone got that version?

No wonder the show got cancelled, with that earlier version - it's really cheesy and boring. The shots of the actors are hilarious!

Not that I saw the episode, but didn't the first episode of TKR have
KITT speeding through the dessert followed by all the new cars?
I thought I saw that clip somewhere before?

Maybe you're thinking of some promotional footage that went around before TKR aired? KITT never appeared in Team Knight Rider in his Trans Am form.

The swedish version of this shows intro was much more action-driven to, much like Stringfellow Hawke described it.

Stringfellow Hawke is right, I dont recall this version of the intro. Ours was alittle more hectic.

It had the 5 cars (in the beginning) driving through explosions on an American countryside highway, then a low slow-motion side-angle of the Attack Beast driving through some water, then in the middle, a sci-fi warrior looking character firing a laser, one of the female characters snogging someone, the Ford Silver 4x4 firing a rocket while lying still in the water near a harbour, then the 5 cars driving towards a U.S. Cobra attack helicopter, and finally, a semi truck exploding whilst driving out of a tunnel.

In the middle of the season, the opening intro was switched to the more action oriented one you guys are talking about. I haven't watched my TKR tapes in a very long time, but I think the changeover happened in "The Blonde Woman". I'll upload the intro and the promo video with KITT in it when I get a sec.

I wonder what the ITV ratings were like for the show here in the UK.

For non-UK fans, ITV was the United Kingdom equivalent to CBS - so "Team Knight Rider" was aired nationally, and on a much larger-scale than that of it's US run, which I think was on the UN Network, or something like that - basically, the U.S. run wasn't on a terrestrial powerhouse network.

The show was even aired between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. here in the UK, so it was pretty much aired during weekend peak-time/prime-time.
