Some of you may remember back in May we got word ( http://knightrideronline.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6909 ) that a KITT replica by George Barris was going to be used in a new Adam Sandler produced movie called Benchwarmers. Well the trailer is out, and no you don't see KITT in it, but you do see the original Batmobile and a sense what any display of KITT is going to be like, sigh..

There may still be a glimmer of hope regarding how we'll see KITT: I saw the car they're using at the George Barris auction and spoke to the guy working for Barris who built it; they had to outfit it with skid plates underneath so it would create a lot of sparks when it bottomed-out driving over a curb. If they keep that idea, then we'll see KITT in motion.

Originally we (I?) theorized that KITT would appear in a fantasy sequence. But seeing the Batmobile in the trailer, I now think that within the storyline of the movie, they will be driving a KITT replica. In other words, the characters will be fully aware that the car is a prop.

Just a thought.

The whole film is based around a film prop collector. I believe it is
John Loveitz (spell?) character. There are a ton of Star Wars life sized
props as well as a bunch of cars and so on. As far as KITTs part, I
am not sure how long or how much they will be using it. but, there is
a 2 tv dash in the car now. It will light up and look pretty but it wont
function. I for one can't wait to see how it looks on screen.
:D

I thought Adam Sandler was meant to be in this. I'm probably wrong.

But I didn't see the Batmobile in the trailer. :?

Blink and you'll miss it. Right after the text "From the Director of Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy", you can see a glimpse of it behind Jon Lovitz.
