You do realize the picture they have of the KITT car on the site is the AMT/ERTL model, right?

Yes i do know that. It's common for the manufacture not to realease actual pisc or prototypes yet.I'm going to the big model/hobby show in chicago so i expect to see the die cast car there and i will take pics .

				That's good news.

I been wanting to get models of KITT and KARR, even if I had to get a couple T/A models and modify them myself.

Now that I know about where to get the model, I am going to tell my guy at the hobby hut near where I live where it is so that I'll be able to get him to order it so that I can get one of those. Thanks for the info.

*Mr Burns voice* "excellent"

See if you can get some nice pics of the grappling hook and ejector seat in action. This 1:18 has alot to live upto, but you can bet whatever quality it is, I'll be buying one as soon as its released

Well, now all we'd have to do is buy a couple of G.I. Joe like action figures and customize them into a Michael Knight (unless you want to use the Spanish G.I. Joe figure that we all talked about a while back) to go with the car.

This is indeed good news! I will definitely get one for myself and display it next to my talking Kenner KITT (although i know the scale will be different, the Kenner KITT is about 1/13 in scale). I hope that the new KITT would have detachable t-tops, i will try to cram my Michael Knight doll in it...though it will be a tight fit and his head would probably stick out of KITT's roof!!! I can't wait to try that out

That's great news. I hope it will be accurate model of KITT, having correct forms in the hood and frontnose, unlike the 1/25 model.

At least we can look at the bright side. If you turbo boost it, it'll only scratch the paint.

I already have a minature Michael Knight and KITT from Corgi. Judging by the size of the new car, i can probably put Michael on top of the seat and ejection him upward, (like he does in the TV show to get on top of a building). That's nostalgia right there for you.

This is AWESOME!!! I've been waiting for a diecast 1:18 scale version for YEARS!!! My TV/Movie cars consisting of the General Lee, 3 DeLoreans (Soon to be 4), 1989 Batmobile & Ecto-1 welcome the new addition!
Hey! Do you think that if it sells well that a K.A.R.R. version will be released? All they'd have to do is paint the lower panelling of the car. Heck... why stop there?!? Lets see a K.I.T.T. with the 2nd-version dash & an SPM K.I.T.T.
Dare we dream, my friends. Dare we dream!

The only thing that matters is that the car is comming and will be availiable in October. Other than that - lets just wait and see what happens.

I can't wait for the release of the 1/18 KITT.. Its a dream come true once I have it in my hands!!!

With an opening hood, door, rear hatch, working passenger side ejector seat, working red scanner light, removable T-Tops, working front hitch with grappling hook, what more can we ask for....Its a KITT model we have all been wanting and dream about.. I think this model will beat the 1/43 scale diecast Aoshima KITT because of the features. I wonder what dashboard will the 1/18 KITT have? Will it be the 2 tv dashboard or the 1 tv dashboard?? We just have to wait and see....

I pre-ordered mine from
http://www.diecastmuscle.com/store/33844.

When it comes to size, the 1/18 scale KITT will definitely win in that category when compared to the Aoshima. I also believe that they will use the 2-TV dashboard because that is the original design. Doesn't matter though, I will still purchase it if they install a 1-TV dash.

I'm going to wait for the initial pre-orders to be received to get some feedback on the quality of these models. Hopefully it's going to be right up there with everyones expectations..

I'll buy any 1:18 KITT from a brick-and-mortar store. I doubt that it'll have the flashing scanner, but one never knows...
