Ice-T to produce Hasselhoff rap album

Ice-T is to produce David Hasselhoff's first hip-hop album.

The pair are neighbours in Los Angeles and are said to have struck up a close friendship.

Hasselhoff has had some success as a singer, releasing seven albums. He's also said to be very popular in Germany.

Ice-T, who was one of the first real hip-hop stars in the late 1980s, said: "The man is a legend. And we are going to show a whole new side of him."

The rapper is said to be convinced that the 51-year-old for Knight Rider and Baywatch actor can take on the biggest names in rap, reports The Sun.

Ice-T added: "He's gonna come out as Hassle The Hoff - I promise you. The Hoff will surprise people with his rap skills and humour."

I don't think thats fair KARR Engineer. All Rap is not neccesarily bad, I would hope you would have more of an open mind than that. Rap isn't my favorite music, but I can appreciate it as an expression of art.

That being said I'm not sure I like the idea of Hasselhoff Rappin', it just doesn't seem his style, and seems like a bit of a reach. But I'll wait to judge until the final product is released.

At the very least, we know it just HAS to be better than KITT singing with Nick and Jessica!

I'm not going to even dignify this with an answer except to say that the man is incredibly well driven.

Awesome. He will be a Hip-Hop BEAST and I will buy all his records. I have his old stuff that was big in Germany. Last night, my wench (lady beast) was around at my place and I entertained her by dancing furiously to the sounds of "Is everybody happy?" and "Looking for Freedom" whilst wearing only my boxer shorts. Splendid fun.
