Are there any Mac users here?

I'm making some Knight Rider icons and desktop pictures and maybe even a screensaver. The icons will only work on a Mac. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll post a link here when I'm finished.

Yup, I'm a mac user. And I know there are a couple of others as well. If you need a place to host them, email me at webmaster@knightrideronline.com, and I can put them up here.

The desktops should work accross the board, since they are just jpegs. Are you an OS X user?

Look forward to seeing your work!

Having two PC's, plus an old iMac, I'm technically an occasional Mac user. If only I
could get a version of MailWasher for Mac OS X, I'd use my iMac a lot more often!

I'm a very dedicated Mac user (actually getting my AppleCare Tech training right now) and I have 3 icon sets for Mac OS X which I was gonna hold off releasing them until I could finally redo my webpage but maybe I should release them now or soon since I have no idea when I'll get around to doing that. The 3 sets I created are classic KR, KR2000 and TKR. Depending on response and demand, I could post them for download soon. Up to you guys! And I am also thrilled that there is another Mac user here who is finally gonna join me in creating KR icons and wallpapers! YAY! :-)

Hey Neps, I'll take you up on that offer to host them. That would be great. I've been using OS X for a little over a year now. I love the fact that it supports 128x128 pixel icons.

KFCreator, I would love to see your icons. You should go ahead an post them. Its nice to see that there are some other Mac users here.

I'll let you guys know when I'm finished with my icons and things.

Ok guys, the moment you've all been waiting for! :-) get your KR, KR2K, and TKR icons NOW! Links posted below (requires MAC OS X 10.x or higher and Aladdin's Stuffit Expander 7.0 or higher):

http://members.aol.com/Adamki2000/KR2000icons.sitx
http://members.aol.com/Adamki2000/TKRicons.sitx

P.S. I made these icons a long time ago and I did use some images from the web that I found. I'll be gald to give credit where credit is due if anyone has any claim to anything I used, I just honestly don't remember where I got the majority of the images that I based my icons on!

Hmm, looks good, but . . .

Does it bounce unwanted email direct from the email account on the mailserver?
More importantly for me, does it support "Mozilla Mail & News" as the email client?

Eitherway, I'll give it a go. If it doesn't support Mozilla, then I probably won't keep it.

How and where did you get a copy of that? Needless to say . . . I want!

Only Apple developers or beta testers who pay a hefty annual subscription get to try out OS X 10.3 "Panther" until its release to the general public. Anyone else who may be using it is doing so illegally, and may be targeted by Apple should they choose to enforce their rights. Not too loong ago, Apple temporarily pulled the plug on legal beta testers because test versions of Safari were being put up for download on the internet, so be careful about what you download.

Well aren't people testing the Panther release under a NDA? So aren't you breaking that agreement by even admiting that you are using it? ;)

Absolute Mac user here as well, although forced to use Windoze at work. I've never been a big fan of using custom icons (just a personal preference for my own machines) but I'll take a look when I get home and am back on a real computer.

Actually the NDA doesn't say anything about not admitting that you have the preview release. You just aren't allowed to talk about it or distribute it. Panther is sweet though. I can't wait for the real thing.

Isn't admitting you have it, talking about it?

I meant talk about it as in describing new features or something like that.

I like my pc as well but I hate the "blue screen of death" as mac users call it when they make fun of it!  I haven't used a mac a lot are they really that different from windows?? :?

WAIT I ask my dad... My dad is a electrical engieer (working with computers and radios) at Desivfed Control Rochestor NY... So he will tell me all there is to know! I know a lot about computers as it is... He has showed me lots, and sometimes I even show him 8) That is always funny!

macs crash too like PCs.. it's not like a mac OS is immune to crashes. the macs i use at school hardly ever crash though. but the imacs i used in high school crashed more then my PC with winME.

If you are talking about OS 9, then yea, mac's crash just as much as PCs. But since OS X, the system has became very stable, and when an application does crash, it doesn't bring the whole system down with it. I'd have to say that there has only been one or two hard system crash where I was forced to restart the machine in the last two years.

Have you folks seen a program called ThemePark? http://www.geekspiff.com/software/themepark/

It allows you to switch and create themes to replace the aqua interface. I've seen a few for PC, but they've always been too flat and not as thought out as other themes I have seen. Any mac user up to the task?

If you want to use a good theme changer and very good themes for your Mac (in OS X), I suggest Duality 4 GT available at http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx/ and Max Rudberg's themes available at http://homepage.mac.com/max_08/. Personally I suggest Brushed 3.0 but of course, I wish there was a KR-inspired theme as well. :-)

Stevem--just curious, but are you an Apple Developer or subscribed beta tester?

Mike (Pajaro)--You seem to be very good at using Macs and graphics, plus we all know you have some of the best KR images available. Ever think about trying your hand at creating some KR icons? ;-)
