'Good Day At White Rock'

Hi folks,
Okay, what are your thoughts/observations on this episode?
I liked it very much. Knight Rider-like a lot of shows-did a good job of balancing out the international/national intrigue stories with stories such as these involving small communities. I enjoyed the stories where Michael and K.I.T.T. went up against above the law criminals, international crooks and the like but it was always nice when they stopped by to deal with domestic crooks. Other shows such as Airwolf did the same.
I liked Anne Lockhart in this. She can always be depended on to put in a good performance, having starred in shows such as The Hulk, Airwolf and Battlestar Galactica.
And you really can't go wrong with stories involving bad motorcycle gangs, which are always popular. The A-Team went up against a motorcycle gang in an episode which I think was called 'Bad Day At Black Rock'. There was also a similar Incredible Hulk episode which I think was called 'Long Run Home'. The Fall Guy also had an episode involving a bad motorcycle gang. It's always nice to see them outwitted (although I am sure most of them in real life are nice guys with families).
I also liked the guy who played the Sheriff who wanted to maintain the quite status quo. I don't know the actors name but I know he showed up in a later episode-I think it was 'Circus Knights'.
All in all,a fantastic episode which illustrates the point that action shows such as this don't always need to feature international crooks or stolen military weapons in order to be enjoyable.

I only can say: I agree with you, that's really a very good episode!
In Germany "Good Day At White Rock" is called "Der Bandenkrieg". But I was able to watch it on Knight Rider - Volume 1 - DVD in English, too.
This episode has serious sequences, but also many funny sequences.
It's one of the better parts from Knight Rider!
So, that was my opinion.

Yeah the episode was made in tribute to that film wasn’t it? The A-Team also did an episode in tribute?

Only the title was in tribute, I think. The episode didn't really resemble the film, which was about a town with a secret visited by Spencer Tracy, trying to present a war medal to the father of a man he served with. Very good film, by the way - you really end up hating the townspeople, whether because of their bully tactics or their cowardice, and supporting Spencer Tracy, who is shunned from the start.

I had actually given the title of The A-Team episode in my initial post. Were you not reading it?
Don't worry, I won't take it personally.

that would be James Callahan.
It interesting to note that both Nicole Eggert and Erika Eleniak also stared in Charles in Charge and later played beside Hasselhoff in Baywatch.... Dave like the blondes huh.
Hey we could play that game where everyone has to link back to either Hasselhoff or KR.
like how is MacGyver related to Knight Rider..
MacGyver was co-produced by Henry Winkler.
Henry Winkler played Fonzie in Happy days.
Fonzies cousin was played by Scott Baio.
Scott Baio stared in Charles in Charge....
Charles in Charge also stared Nicole Eggert....
Nicole Eggert later stared in Baywatch....
Baywatch stared and was produced by David Hasselhoff.....
David Hasselhoff played Michael Knight in Knight Rider.

Good Day at White Rock is one of my favorite episodes, it just had great Knight Rider action, turboboost, motorbike gangs, chases in the dusty roads, Michael going to jail and KITT getting impounded, etc.
One of the greatest Knight Rider episodes indeed in my opinion.

With few exceptions, the first season of ANY show is always the best one and in my opinion, that is how it was with KR. I loved most of the episodes and the season openers were always fantastic but season 1 will forever hold a place in my heart.

those car chases on the dusty roads remind me far
too much of The Dukes of Hazard.

I live in finland and I'm pretty sure Dukes of Hazzard has not been ever here on tv. Thanks to internet, now I'm aware of that tv-serie too...
Well, carchases in Knight Rider are cool no matter what kind of the road is...

Is it possible that the car chase in question was filmed in the same area as the Dukes of Hazard?
It certainly looked very similar.... same kind of trees...terrain etc
