So I sit down to watch Knight of the Drones. It's all going well, until I see the scene where Michael drives to Peter's apartment.If you look closely, when Michael opens the door and gets out KITT's dashboard is the new season 3 one, however throughout the entire episode KITT's voice box and dashboard is shown as the season 2 one. Obviously his dash doesn't get a redo until the end when he gets hit by the missile. I just thought it was kinda funny.

Oh that's just one of Kitt's most advanced of features, the (cough, cough) morphic (cough, cough) system. ;P It's never talked about. But is cannon from episode one, when we see KITT's voice box proudly displaying the name KNIGHT INDUSTRIES TWO THOUSAND for the first and only time. It not only affects the dash, but the external body by creating gas cap covers that aren't suppose to be there and even a tow rig harness under the bumper. Oh, sure. The Three Thousand thought they had invented the morphing technology. But the Two Thousand was just too humble to mention it.

I've no idea what this show's production schedule must have been like. But, I am guessing it was in the range of hectic to madness. Going to so many locations and staging so many stunts must have had all their resources stretched to the max. Which helps indicate why they probably forgot to apply post it notes that Cars A, B and C couldn't be used in scenes D, E and F. Besides, the show was intended to be viewed via an inferior broadcast frequency where the fuzz and lack of rewind would help blend in the illusion that nothing erroneous was happening.
