Does anybody know who has the ertl kitt, if it has the square voicebox from season 1, or the 3 lined voicebox from season 2 on?[ i checked a review of it at angelfire and it had a close up picture of the dashboard, but it's hard to tell which voicebox it is].Cheers.

There's no paint on the voice box on the Ertl car. I'll be posting more photos in the comparison thread, including the interior.

There's no paint on mine. I think the Aoshima version had paint.

I'll post them as soon as I can - could be today, could be next week.

On my Ertl KITT, the voice box is not painted. On my Ertl KARR, it is painted yellow.

I have two ERTL KITT's, the original 2004 release didn't have painted voicebox but my updated 2007 KITT model does have solid red paint in the voicebox. KARR has yellow paint in the voicebox.

Does anybody actually know if the voicebox on the ertl kitt is based on the first season with the square box, or is it the 3 lined voicebox featured in season 2 on?

it is the square box based on season 1 which is funny as the nose of the car is a season 3/4 car (no smoked lens cut out covers for the front turn signals in front of the head lights).

actually that is not my pic KITTfan posted it but I also have the same KITT and the dash has the square voice box, I have to say unless they use a decal like they did for the dash details it will be VERY hard in this scale to have the 3 bar voice box.
