I created this a few years ago and kind of forgot about it Its a nice little addition to your log-in screen (If you have Windows XP anyway)

Sorry, it only works for Windows XP.

Just found a way to get it to work for vista.

1.Go to downloads.cnet.com and type in stardock logon studio.
2.Download the program and run it.
3.Download Avenger 95 file and click it while the logon studio is running.It will show up in the list of logon backgrounds,and hit apply.

Yours was great.Its just I couldn't live with the cowl enduction scoop being on the wrong side of the hood.I made this.I tried to upload it for everyone but I forgot who made the pic originally and would like to give him credit for an awesome login.

Yeah I wasn't happy about flipping the car angle but I felt it looked better pointing towards the log-in than away.

That logon looks awesome! Too bad animated ones can't be used.

I had such a hard time centering and shrinking the image vertically to get it to allow you to type into kitt's scanner.

It got me thinking of how I could improve my ki3t with a more updated Foundation background and voila new windows login screen for me.If anyone wants it,pm me.

So is there an easy way to change this. I have XP and know it prob just replaces a file but a step by step for us xp users would be helpful also as wins wiki is lacking.

How do you get rid of the stock windows bottom bar and the windows blue box around the logo?

I found a good clear shot of the F.L.A.G. logo from the 2008 series knight rider and photoshopped it a bit.

You have to do a registry hack

I have done it for W7, I will look for instructions

It’s a feature in Windows 7. Windows\System 32\oobe\info\backgrounds\backgroundDefault.jpg will show up on the welcome screen.
You have to create the subfolders if they aren’t already there.

Also, there’s a registry change you might need to make if it hasn’t been enabled:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background
Set OEMBackground (DWORD) to value 1 base hexadecimal.
