I was searching for an article concerning turbine driven cars, just feeling lucky. And I found out, that in the 50's/60's there were experimental cars, but not very successful, the turbines were loud and required a certain rounds per minute.

But I recently found out, that now there exist a car, which makes use of microturbines and lithium batteries. It's very fuel efficient as well as enviromental-friendly with the lowest NOx emissions, no need for extra katalyst, a max speed of 150 mph (240 km/h)(even electronically limited!! Wonder what real max speed is! ) and has a range of 800 km with one (!) tankfull gas. It's not KITT unfortunately!

It's called the CMT-380 Capstone Supercar http://www.capstoneturbine.com/, which is also a black sports car.

Glen is really a visionary, he foresaw the future, a real and feasable car, that was/is the car of tomorrow! :kitt:

The turbo-boost with the extreme powerful turbine, the Line-X covering which is the real MBS - it has exceed the scifi aspect and I the more I know about new technologies - I really can image a Knight Industries building this masterpiece.
