Hello guys, I have a question for you. Do you know who provided the cars during the original Series, i mean the background cars, not the principal ones.
I'm asking 'cause I'd like to know who may have provided the white Bug that appears so frequently at the beginning of season 2. It's mosty likely a former Disney car from the Herbie movies and tv show.
Your help would be precious.

The first time I saw this stock footage that was reused in other episodes was in Blind Spot,season 2 episode 5.What's funny is that Michael was in kitt speeding off while the herbie lovebug was parked in the 8 min:19 second mark then the 8 min 20 second mark hebries already on the road outruning the porsche that Michael's supposed to chase after proving that Herbie the lovebug is faster than not only kitt but the porsche lol.





And yes that smoke on the first shot is kitt's.

It definitely looks like it could be Herbie. In the Love Bug movies, there was also a red and white stripe which appears to have been removed before it's appearance in Knight Rider.

How can you be very famous if you only have a background role? lol. Anyway, I'm sure they had many different drivers for different scenes to drive "Herbie."

Maybe Herbie was going through he final days of being known.Like Knight Rider was mentioned on the simpsons,Sabrina the Teenage which,differen't strokes,etc.

Don't forget in the resent Herbie movie kitt was aside him they both looked very happy together in that scene. I believe it was in the intro too.
