knight rider online

Gday Peeps,

I am a huge Knight Rider fan from the land downunder (Australia). I am making my first trip to your awesome country in Febuary and am wanting to see the original Kitt Car. I know that it used to be at Universal Studio, but have been told that its no longer there. I will be visiting L.A, San Fran, San Diego, Vegas and Mexico.

Any help on where i could see it would make the trip even better.

Although it's not an original, George Barris usually has a KITT car parked in his shop in Toluca Lake, near Burbank California (google "Barris Kustom Industries"). It's not exactly a public showroom, but if you go there and tell them you're from Down Under I'm sure they'd be happy to bring you in to take a look.

Also, you may want to get in touch with some of the replica groups: Knight Registries, Knights of the West Coast, Knight Foundation. They have some beautiful replicas and maybe they could get together for a dinner or something while you're in town.
