Awesome,I wont how much the KI3Ts will go for

This is disappointing, as it pretty much puts a lid on any possibilities for a revival of the series by NBC.

Although the auction does make it look bad for any return of Knight Rider to NBC, I guess you could look on the bright side...all it would take to bring KI3T back for a continuation of the 2008 version would be an addition of the scanner lights and a snow globe with KITT's voicebox behind it to a black mustang. Pretty much everything else seemed standard issue, which I believe was one of the reasons why there wasn't more interest in the series. My 2002 SUV has a more exciting dashboard than KI3T had.

I think even with it's problems Knight Rider could have made it on NBC, if they put it in a more appropriate time spot -- it was always put in the toughest spot possible. I remember when NBC used to have Must See TV...now all NBC stands for is Nothing But Crap. Seriously, does anyone even watch that network anymore?

After what USA did with Airwolf I hope they don't get it. Scifi (I refuse to say syfy) could do ok though.

It would be nice if Sci-fi did get the KR rights. In my opinion, they need a different base car anyway for KR since they redesigned the Mustang. I remember when Viper was revived, they used a different base car for the Defender. If they used a 2010 Shelby or a '10 Stang as the base form and made the series like they did the last few episodes, they could handle the reigns better than NBC. May have to get different actors, though I think Bruening is perfect for Mike Knight Jr.....

Sorry, you are slightly wrong with the "base car". Instead of the original RT/10 which was a 2 door coupe with a trunk, they got a GTS, which had a glass hatch. A Viper's a Viper no matter how you slice it. ps. the Defender is a mode just like Super Pursuit. The Viper transformed into the Defender Mode, just like both KITT's went into either Super Pursuit or Attack Modes.

The original red Viper RT/10 was used in Season 1, and still used in season 2 and 3 when it was revived. They only switched to the blue GTS coupe in Season 4 when they brought Joe Astor back.

Ouch, yea. I forgot about that......

I thought it was a done deal of Knight Rider not coming back. It was the only sure thing about the show.
We can only hope in the future someone makes another attempt to revive the series again and with someone that really knows the history of the show.
