Now the cast has been trimmed, are we going to have yet another new intro to the show???

Yes I would have thought so, seeing as 3 of them are gone.

We'll soon see.

i definitely think theres going to be a new intro, but because the new intro is only 45 seconds to begin with, simply taking the three characters out would take about four seconds. especially since the clips are so fast. so i dont think the music is going to change. they'll probably just put in some more older pictures of kitt, from either the backdoor pilot intro or the previous intro. im hoping the song is somewhat revamped too. as much as i like the new one, i do like some of the edited version from youtube a bit better. something a little bit closer to the original.

Maybe. They'll need to add Smith Cho to the cast, and remove the missing three.
Or maybe they'll just do another quick editing job and remove some frames from the intro.

Hi, here's my vision for a new intro. Tell me if you like it.

First shot is of the new KITT coming down the desert(just like in the old KR)

Then we hear Charles Graiman narrating a short revamped version of the old opening "KNIGHT RIDER, a shadowy flight...etc"

Next shot is one of KITT's mirrors, then a digital dash.

Then the other shots of the cast members can follow with their names under freeze frames of them. Or any other way is fine so long as we see who the star is in the opening credits etc.

Then a few final shots of KITT smashing through a wall, taking off or burning out.

Then finally we see a shot of the car in the desert heading in the opposite direction towards the mountains.

Slightly resembles the old intro but maintains the same music from this new opening theme.

So what do you all think about this? I know it's crazy & it may never happen but just my two cents worth there.

WOW That was a good job editing, really had the old skool feel

They did change the intro I think... a little, I saw a clip of KARR slaming the rearend of KITT causing him to spin out, I don't think that was in the intro before. Unfortunately they still showed KITT transforming hoped that was gone / damaged from KARR fight..

The "old school" one is better. I love that we see everything from KITT's perspective, like in the old intro.

Hahaha, that was actually really well done. But seriously I really don't need a duplicate opening, but since they DID include the desert scene in the show, it wouldn't hurt to start the intro with it.

The much larger issue for me is the actual song. It has a promising beginnign and falls apart. Again, not looking for a note-for-note recreation, but a remix with some melody would be nice

Of course we don't have BD in the cast now, which is a shame but that was visually perfect.

Anyone fancy doing it with Billy and Zoe in there and the new theme...???

this is actually an awesome theme would be good with zoe & billy also in the theme & the narration done by Charles gramin should be something to look forward to.

I guess by now all have seen the new, new intro (with fights scenes with KARR in it) and Smith Cho in it (gggrrr... drool!)...

Anyway, I am trying to find out which ep did that part, just in the beginning (where the drums come in), where KITT was fired (by some laser) and thrown a couple of spins in the air? Does anyone know?

It's really from "Knight of the Hunter", when KITT's blown in the air by a mine. The laser is probably from another scene and just overlaps.
