There are two trans ams at that mark of the movie. They were borrowed replicas made by fans of TOS

That's true, they used parts of the trans-am to make it look like Dr Graiman was basically upgrading the Knight 2000

Yes it has been a big topic of discussion back last February when the pilot aired, but I couldn't find the exact thread with the pictures in it. There are at least two Trans Ams in the garage. One is the first car that's seen with the engine exposed, and the other is completely uncovered in the wide shot below. The car next to it that's covered is also likely a Trans Am as well as it appears to have the exact same shape. I adjusted the contrast in the shot to make the garage a bit more clear.
To load images you have to screen capture from a DVD, save the picture, then upload it to a file hosting site like Photobucket.com or Imageshack.com. From there you just copy and paste the image link into your post.

Doubt it, wouldnt make any sence. KARR was destoryed, well his shell anyways. And he was black/silver, not all black.

Well actually, in KITT vs. KARR, he was black with a yellow scanner but in the uncut versions, which are on the dvd seasons, he talks to John, the guy that discovers him at the beach, about changing his appearance so he doesn't look like KITT.

Yeah I noticed KI2T when I first watched the pilot. Looks like the new Knight Rider screwed it up. Y have/borrow 2 cars and have them in the same room? The only logical explanation would be that Charles used the original KITT to make a more advanced KITT and put him back in the same new shell/body. Now that I’ve said that, it sounds a bit stupid.
KARR was destroyed, so y have 2???
Maybe it was KARR all along? (The dismantled car)
And KITT is in the corner, obviously deactivated?!! (Probably just there as a momentum of brilliance for Charles??)
What reason did every1 think last time??

He was black and silver, they just cut out the explanation for the change when the show went into syndication to make more time for commercials, which was rather dumb. Besides that, his scanner was more of an amber color than it was yellow.

About the trans ams in the garage. I think Charles might just have had a thing for trans ams. Or maybe Andron was using the 2000 movie as canon and Charles got all of KI2T's parts. Meanwhile KITT's 'brain' is in KIFT somewhere.

This scene was just a sad attempt at establishing a link to the past, devoid of any explanation at all. In GST's version of KR it never even took place so nobody knows where the K2000 is or what happened to him in the the last 23 years.

Well they have said 12 or 13 (can't remember which) explains what happened to FLAG...but did GSTs version really say that garage sequence didn't happen? They retconned a bit, but by and large I thought it WAS the same continuity. Of course...if this new KARR really is unrelated, I guess it isn't.

Ignoring the Knight Rider 2000 movie (which imo, is a great idea), it's not unreasonable to think that in addition to the KITT from TOS, Graiman would also have several post-KITT models in various states of completion with which he could engineer improvments and test new systems.

That sounds more or less reasonable enough and I too Am glad that they ignored Knight Rider 2000.

yes but i think that the knight rider 2000 movie has much better scenario than the knight rider 2008 pilot!!in the 2000 movie..everything is explained properly!!what happen to flag!what happen to ki2t!what happen to michael knight and finaly devon!!don't forget the wiliam daniels voice!!i think that they make a big mistake to not follow the 2000 movie plot!!

Yeah but the explanation didn't make any sense.

Wow I never noticed two cars. All I noticed was the hood missing, the steering wheel and the license plate on the wall. I doubt the second car would be KARR cause he was destroyed. Unless original KITT was damaged and the were using one for parts to put him back together.

I don't think so, because before KR08 was first aired, GST said that KITT and KI3T are separate entities. But with the reboot and all, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.
