It is pretty cool. Only problem would be getting the dents out, heh. I think I still would put something like that or similar as a coat over a vehicle, though I dunno how well it would work. If you couldn't at least get it to be shiny then it'd kind of suck to have a dull surface.

It would probably reduce the effectiveness of the material, but I bet you could include metal filings in the mix and polish those up to a brilliant shine. The other thing to do, of course, is coat the car with Linex, then paint on the Linex, however this will crack and shift as the Linex moves under impact and would need replacing. (Assuming of course you're crashing through trucks and walls and such like.) I think it's an awesome idea but it needs to be applied to more than just military vehicles. Hospitals, schools, buildings in Earthquake and flood areas. The more industries use it the cheaper it'll get. Still, if it was a year ago, what have we heard since?
