knight rider online

Hey all it's been awhile but, with the new KR coming soon I thought I'd come back and start posting again.

Anyways, while watching the previews with Kitt's transformations into Attack Kitt, etc did anyone else start having flashback to the Viper tv show? I mean I had that feeling watching the movie but, the more I see it the more I start having Viper flashbacks. Hell Kitt even changes cars/color like that Viper did. And then that whole cave like headquarters they have reminds me of the one in Viper. That can't be a good thing. But, maybe it's just me.

I would rather they would have KITT stay in his "basic mode" cept he is all black with no stripes with black rims. No "Attack Kitt" etc.

Something just came to my mind: how can Ki3t morph into something bigger than himself? We've seen footage were he morphs into a Ford-look-a-like pickup but how is that possible to begin with?

He probably has a lot of mass.

Its always likely that people would mention Viper, but
Knight rider was a show way ahead of its time technology wise, going back to cars driving by themselves then you have to go back to the 60's with Herby

this show is for fans old and new and hopefully its establishes a brand new fan base as well as us the old faithful.

in terms of technology they will have to take it to the next level just to accommodate the 2008 audience
most people like and have seen transformers etc...., with CGI available now they are taking kitts capabilities to the level they couldnt do in the 80s

but....
ultimately its a tv show as long as they can provide in show answers to how kitt can shift mass etc that should be enough to keep us happy. its prob down to transforming + mass shifting nano technology but we shall see

when transformers 2 comes out next year with Sound wave who will mass shift will be people be asking the same questions or will they take it as read as that was always the way he worked?
