The first thing of note is that the "KITT Cave" does indeed appear to be a high tech maintenance area rather than a carbon copy of the Bat Cave.

The second is that the Attack KITT seen by JaimeTheKing appears to be the real deal. The good news is that looks a lot better in motion than it did in the still photography. Unfortunately though, it has a definite Fast and the Furious vibe to it thanks to the blue neon’s that are underneath it.

The third is the transformation process. It would appear that rather than the nano shifting process from the pilot, we're now going to get a very Transformers esq. change, as evidenced by KITT arriving as an F-150 pickup truck, and then mechanically transforming into the Shelby once Michael and Sarah are in the bed. I'm not really sure what to make of this since it's apparent that real world physics are no longer applicable to the Knight Industries Three Thousand in terms of mass and volume, but on the face of it, the transformation sequence does look rather good.

And finally, for the eagle eyed, there is a nice tip of the hat to the semi in the original series, albeit with super bikes. Still, all in all, aside from the Attack KITT, which I'm still not sold on, the changes appear to make for a visually appealing world. Only time will tell whether the substance of the stories will be up to snuff in comparison to the visual effects.
