The old font is fun, but now who can tell me what the new KR font is?

"earth" TTF based off a combination of Battlefield Earth and Terminator 2.

The font above is Ruben, by Anonymous (1996)
David Occhino, a professional in the font business, recommended it to me as being the closest one to KR. You can check out the font discussion thread, he gives the whole history.

Well this is very interesting. It would appear they are not too sure of their font either. Looking at that earth font I see the T’s look like the double one seen in Justin’s name and not like the one in Knight Rider. This earth font has very few differences between lowercase and capital letters, but you can notice here that NBC slipped up, sometimes using the lower case E and sometimes the capital. The biggest slip up is the lover case R in Deanna’s name because it loses its classic KR tail.
Humm. They better look into this.

Just keep in mind, the font will probably change by September...

They just might knightoffthephoenix, and they might change up the whole intro. But NBC’s site is still using that font so I’ll run with it.

Hi Guys... I've been a long time reader.... but this is the first time I've ever posted. I'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right thread, but I'm wondering about the Earth font. I know people have said that it can be tweeked a little to be a perfect match. I'm wondering how, in the above stickers, the T isn't the standard Earth font T (looking like two upsidedown L's). How do I get the T to look, well, regular?

It's basically Earth. I tweaked the font in photoshop. I don't know if we have a font expert out there who could tweak it and then convert it back into a font format?

Fontlab is a good prog to convert them back to font format, I cant guarantee it will come out great but Ill have a crack at it if you like.

This will probably be of no help....But I personally think that the font MJ uses in Knight Watch really matches up.

On another note, I was thinking, and this is just me, How about???? "My Other Car is a Mustang" Kind of like the Enterprise car rental lisence plate frames....It's just me...I love the bumper sticker Idea and If I could get that in a Magnet that'll be AWESOME!

Weeezl... if its at all possible, that would be great if you could. Otherwise I guess I could try Sue's (and thank you too!) method of Photoshop. The main reason why I want to do this... I bought a Black Dodge Charger R/T and kind of want to make a KR tribute to it. Okay okay, it's not a Mustang and it's not a T/A. But it's by far the closest thing to Knight Rider I've ever encountered! I want to replace the stock Dodge badge on the truck with KR (K with tail, R with tail) And on the front badge I want to put KITT --- but with the regular T's. I was hoping for the font so I can send a high quality image/file to the company I'd like to do this for me! Thanks guys!

Yeah cool, Earth font is the closest match you'll find on the net, see if you can convert Sue's photoshopped font, you can just pick out the letters but if you manage to get it in a font format, please upload it!

That example of what you wanted to be written under ki3t's scanner made me think about what Mike was supposed to be in the pilot movie.An army ranger.Sort of like might morphin mustang ranger.Go go mustang ranger! queue zordon in blue cool aid and Rita Repulsa.
