I'd like to see the first episode start back at the funeral scene between Mike and Michael.

When Michael walks off Charles steps out of the trees and speaks to him
"Where is he? Is he ok?"


and Michael would respond something like

" He's here "



Charles to Michael

" Come back Michael, it's safe now. Take over from where Devon left off, be a father and mentor to your Son "

Michael:

"Maybe i will one day soon, but there is something i need to do first"


MIchael speaks into his sleeve

" Come get me "

we hear a familiar turbine noise.
MK and Charles turn to look at the camera, a red glow flashes across Michaels glasses...Opening credits roll.

I love this idea, DrWho2005!!! That would be way cool. I wish you were one of the writers for the new series!

When Michael walks off toward the lake Charles steps out behind a tree and walks with Mchael, They stop near the side gate to the small cemetary. Charles puts his hand on Michaels arm.

"Where is he? Is he ok? I tried to brink him back three times but it was never the same"


and Michael would respond something like

" He's here Charles and he's doing just fine"

when u say "he" who are u talking about? Mike or KITT? and by the way, i think it is an awesome idea but dont forget about the KITT trans am in the garage at the beginning of the new pilot

It would be a cool start to the new series if that scenario (or similar) could be used.
While there is the issue of the old Trans-Am, and some of the original KITT's parts
being seen in Charles Graiman's garage in the opening scenes of the recent pilot,
those could be passed off as parts used in subsequent unsuccessful attempts to
bring back the original KITT, or spare parts left over from the 1982 build.

to be fair, we only saw parts of the car, as we know from episodes like soul survivor and (ahem...) KR2000 (sorry) KI2T was more than the sum of his parts. its very possible that the shell of the knight 2000 body was in the garage but the AI could have been removed...

My friend the Hybrid over here is a futuristic car that runs on feedback. (That and gas paid for by the money I will be making if NBC gives me a job. ) A car’s gotta eat.

the shell was in the garage, the whole car was there

A car was there..not THE car

The car is the shell.

It's only speculation and maybe some hopeful thinking, but I would think that the original KITT is still out there alive and well and in Michael Knight's possession. The original KITT AI could still be in an '82 Trans Am or it could be in something else - who knows.
