White KITT?

Was there an episode where KITT was painted white? Or had his shell removed?
The reason I ask, is I've found a box in the attic for what looks like a white KITT. Sadly, its empty, but it must be up there somewhere, so I'll look again tomorrow.
Anyone know if this is a rare model or anything? (lives in hope lol)

In the episode Junk Yard Dog, KITT is without his snazzy exterior shell, and is white.

And also in KOTJ after KITT's destruction.
When RC'S gang are working on him, there is a brief scene shown of KITT being white because he is without his coating.

Ah cool, will have to keep an eye out for those episodes. Thanks.
Don't suppose anyone's got a pic of him being white? The pic on the box is faded and he looks yellow on here. lol

I might have one of him "white" on my page.. its been a while since I've looked at it, but I don't know what page its on... but I have a lot of pics and sounds/music.. so if you're on dialup, it might take a little bit. And one thing I haven't understood.. I thought that his shell IS his body.. in the pilot it says its not metal or fiberglass.. its bonded INTO the material... Am I missing something?

The black finish is probably the activating agent.

Hmmm..... I guess I can see that.... But then in the 4th season why couldn't Bonnie have recreated it?

Probably because they needed Devon to recreate it, since the formula was broken up in three parts amongst three different people. (and it was only in Knight of the Juggernaut that he was missing his Molecular Bonded Shell, afterwards, it seems they got things back together again.) They may have just painted him black to keep him from being a rather stark white item coming after the bad guys.

Except if I remember right, the reason they created SPM was because Bonnie couldn't create the shell again, so she had to boost his other functions. And KITT has all his information on his CPU about his shell I thought.. he should ahve been able to even walk them through making it! Or am I wrong?

You are wrong, they stated in Goliath that they needed two out of the three people to make the shell. If that were the case, that is most definitely something they kept out of KITT's programming. He used to give some hints about general composition, but they did make it pretty obvious that nobody could recreate the MBS without two out of three of them.
Bonnie couldn't recreate the shell again in Knight of the Juggernaut, because, lo and behold, they didn't have Devon

so did they recreate it AFTER KOTJ? also, who were the 3 original people, bonnie obviously wasnt one of them as she stated in trust doesnt rust, referring to karr "dont look at me, that was before my time" meaning she didnt create kitt, or karr.

They didn't say if the MBS was redone, but KITT was suddenly back to doing everything he was supposed to do, so it is just one of those things that they seemingly didn't figure was worthwhile to add back into the storyline.
Devon was one of the three original people. Another was a doctor who was murdered in Goliath. I can't remember who the third was, but you are right, Bonnie isn't one of them.

Here's a screenshot of KITT performing a somewhat lacklustre turbo
boost, during his initial trial run on the test track, after being rebuilt
in "Junk Yard Dog" , prior to having his black paint work restored.

Which makes it all too ridiculous that in the Knight Rider game KITT tells KARR that he wouldn't hurt Bonny because 'She programmed both of us'.

Programmed, not created. There is a difference.

Hardly, As KARR's problem is in his programming...
