KR intro

Can anybody give me the intro-narrated text of the beginning of an episode? Or if somebody can tell me where I can find that, it would be ok too.

I just want to compare it with the Knight Rider "French" version... and to know if it is quite the same or if there are some differences.

Thanks a lot, K.I.T.T! That is what I was looking for. Well, after I read that, I can say there are some differences but the sense is the same. I'll expose what it is for the "French" version of Knight Rider and I'll explain what I call those "differences".

LES EXPLOITS D'UNE CHEVALIER SOLITAIRE, DANS UN MODE DANGEREUX : LE CHEVALIER ET SA MONTURE! UN HÉROS DES TEMPS MODERNES, DERNIER RECOURS DES INNONCENTS, DES SANS ESPOIRS, VICTIMES D'UN MONDE CRUEL ET IMPITOYABLE

In French, this intro is focused on the idea of a knight and his mount, like it was in the medieval time. So, Micheal Knight is the knight and Kitt is his mount (the horse, if you prefer). "UN HÉROS DES TEMPS MODERNES" can be translated as "A TODAY'S HERO". But, the intro doesn't mention a word about the "Micheal Long to Micheal Knight" thing. I mean the "...OF A MAN WHO DOES NOT EXIST." But for the rest, it's very the same.

Another question about the intro. Does the intro has been "modified" when the 2nd season was aired for the first time in 1983, due to the mechanic replacement?

I guess yes.

Because for the episodes aired here in Quebec, the intro is the same... from the first season through the third season. Just for the fourth season the intro is "edited" to show the SPM.

So, it's a little bit disturbing when you watch a 2nd season episode and you see "Starring David Hasselhoff, Edward Mulhare and Patricia McPherson".

The answer is in fact, yes, for season 2, they change the credits, and for season three, they change the credits once again.

Actually most shows change the opening from season to season anyway.

Yup, specially action type shows. They'll add clips from the recent episodes to make it seem more current. You can pretty much tell which season it is from the intro, at least thats what I did when things aired in WWOR syndication. Season 2 was a give away, but 1, 3 and 4 was a bit different from each other so you had to check the dash, possibly the supporting cast, perhaps the extreme modification of KITT, and the hair styles of David Hasselhoff to get the proper season.

What is channel 6 (NEW RO)? I'm from Quebec too and I think I don't have this one.

It's true that Michael's and KITTs voice in French (in fact, almost all the voices in French are) a little bit pathetic. But, you know, I get used to Michael's voice but not KITT's voice... specially in season 3 and 4. My God! Kitt's voice sounds like a metallic voice recorded in a bathroom. It really hurts!

Space:1999 had a different intro for every episode. They had basic stock footage, but then they incorporated scenes from the episode into the credits themselves. It doesn't get any more current than that! Not relevant, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Good point. Fear Factor does that as well. They'll have clips from the older stunts in the begining of the opening and towards the middle they'll show clips from the show about to happen.

You're probably right, neps. But what I saw last night was something very, very, very... messed up. I mean, last night I watch "Goliath" episode... with the season 4 intro!!! I don't know what's wrong, but geez...

I'm still speechless of what I saw.
