Question: Since I won't be watching this new series I was wondering if anyone out there ever made a fan made episode using a classic era KITT with charactor impressions from the original show? Or done episodes with original charactors in the original show universe using classic Kitt. This new FORD doesn't cut it for me.

I see that you are refusing to watch the new KR simply because they aren't continuing off of the original show with the original car. Since your new to the board. Welcome to the board by the way. I thought you should know that they aren't allowed to use the original car anymore. GM no longer wants the original car associated with Knight Rider. That is why the original car has never showed up completely intact in any of the past KR revivals. You''ll never get that version and just be jipping yourself out of a chance to love a New Knight Rider again. The NBC Pilot is a two hour movie that if successful could possibly become a new show in the fall. The Mustang is an all new Knight Industries 3000. Its not even the original Kitt at all. Its story is about Mike Tracer the son of Michael Knight. David Hasselhoff will guest star as Michael Knight in what as been mentioned in a script review at Aint it Cool News.com as a cool open ended appearance. Which would lead you to believe He could have somewhat of a recurring role as Michael Knight should a new series happen. A guest apperance or two every now and then. So Please at least watch the pilot itself and judge it exclusively on the finished product and not all the negative reaction mentioned about it no this board. Thank You for your time I know this post is a little long.

Tell you what...I'll watch the show as long as they're going to be using Michael Knight as a recurring possiblity in the series. If it is in fact a different car that does make a little difference I suppose. I thought this was a complete reimagining. If they can also incorporate story arcs from the old show and mesh it well I could be sold. Still...I'd like to hear reference to or at least see the old Daniels TA in mothballs as an homage. Even if its just in the backround.

The other problem I'm having is what about the old theme? That is an essential element I'm going to need...even if its a funky hip hop/rapper/alternative rave remix. Otherwise its like a new Starwars without John Williams theme.

Its actually being billed as a Sequel to the original show. The original Kitt does show up in some form We have seen footage from the set of a newer car with conversion parts around. This is speculation mind you but I kind of believe Michael Knight's appearance will be of him trying to rebuild a destroyed original Kitt but is not capable of finishing it on his own. The original theme is supposed to be redone. You can actually hear a version of it on the 15 Sec NBC teaser. Its one of the topics on the board check it out.

That new 2 minute KR preview makes it appear as the bad guys stumble across the old Kitt in a garage like its being dismantled or something. I was speculating we won't really know exactly how the original Kitt appears until the Pilot.

Got a link for this two minute preview?
Also was still wondering if anyone had made a knightrider fan film/episode....lots of trekkies and stawars fans have gone through the roof making them so I can't believe there's not one KR fan thats made one. There appear to be a surplus of Ktt replicas these days so I can't imagine why no ones grabbed a DV cam and turned some fan fiction into a visual.
