just got my knight rider GPS yesterday! can i get a link to mods as well plz?

Has anybody been able to get the 2009 map update to install?
All the other functions installed perfect but the maps fail to load.

I've read through these posts and it looks like i missed the 3-day window. Please post when a link to mods are available again. I cannot for the life of me seem to get anywhere with Mio's (lack of) technical support!

I still have not gotten the maps to load.

I have no idea what to do
I need to learn more about how the unit handles the files

if you have an FTP server with enough space, I will upload them for you

I loaded all the mods but not the new maps. Everytime I try to enter an address I have to select USA Map and the GPSthen reboots every 10th time or so the states come up and I can enter my directions. The GPS shows the right location but I can'tt enter a new destination I can access the Canada map everytime but thet doesnt help me. Any suggestions.

We haven't heard from Tao in a while on the GPS, and I'm hoping that I haven't chased him away with all my graphic updates. I have no idea how to manipulate the maps, but I am a graphic designer so I tried to straighten out a few things that bugged me. I hope Tao comes back and helps us get the maps working, maybe if we are all ask him really really nicely he'll help us.

lol! I am still here. Had another round of surgery. But I am back again. Still working on the maps.

Any one have the 2008 map files the can send me. I thought I had backed everything up but my GPS is completley messed up right now. I have no maps Help.

Looks like we are all waiting for Toa to get better to help us all out. I didn't realize that Tao was having medical issues. Tao, wherever you are, get better! We're all rooting for you! And I personally apologize if I or we have bothered you so much about the maps. Tend to your health first of course and then you can save us all from old map hell.

i am looking to mode my KR310 would like some new maps and sounds and gfxs please get back to me on how i can do this please and were to go

I cleared my computer and accidentally deleted my 4th GPS Mod.
If anyone has it please PM right away.
I can't do any more work till I have it again.

Got it! I will continue to work on the new maps problem.

I installed Western Europe maps (after purchasing the key) and get exactly the same problem as described above. I realise this is slightly off topic but I'm thinking the problem causing the update not to work is the same one causing my maps not to work as the symptoms are identical.

The maps are installed from the original disc so shouldn't be compatibility issues? I've read some people say install without using the mio software but if I do that, the device doesn't even see the maps are there at all...

any progress on the map issue? cant wait to get some updated maps for use! i apparently currently work on a street that never existed! haha...old maps suck

So i just received my KR GPS in the mail and I guess it's the Chinese knock off. Am I out of luck modifying this one? I installed the new flash movie that platformshag posted, (Thanks platformshag!), but i'd really like all the other mods as well. Someone with the chinese model tell me it'll work . Thanks

any luck on the maps? i'm not concerned with the MODs but i would LOVE some at least somewhat up to date maps...it sucks. love this GPS but half the roads I use dont exist in the 2008 maps...
