Here is the dash for the custom KARR. There is yellow on the steering wheel and no button consoles on the roof of the inside like KITT has. The stereo system is top of the line as well.

This is the rear of the KARR with the tv out and playing the same video that is on the screen inside the dash.

As you can see... there is no back seat and the inside is all black leather.
Another difference that can't be seen in these photos is that the spoiler on the back is not like KITT's.

That is awesome to find out its the real KI3T there

.
So how close could you get to the cars and could you pose with them or was that for the stars only?

- You could only get close to the cars if you had a staff or VIP badge (designed by yours truly), but some people snuck through the barricades and snapped a quick shot anyway. Security was more tight when the celebs were around. If you knew about the hero KITT up in the garage you could get as close as you wanted. I personally sat in the K3000, played with the KITT "snowglobe" (and yes it really is a clear plastic globe, not a half cut glass lens) and watched Paul flip the switches to turn on the scanner and inside lighting effects.
I found it most intriguing that Paul had the keys to the hero K3000 and was also allowed to drive it around when needed. This was the actual hero car apparently but I seriously doubt it was the highest end model they worked to keep pristine. This particular hero car had some moderate visable damage to it.
I got so close to the Attack Mode KITT in the garage I could actually touch it. I also noticed that it's not actually entirely black either. The Attack Mode KITT has silver highlights along the upper surface of the side protrusions and the extruded upper panels. On camera these look like lighting highlights, but they're actually painted silver.
Neat trick. Pity the car still looks like a giant ugly matchbox car but eh.
Nice to be close to a part of the continued history of Knight Rider.

- I'd just like to add that the owner of DeceptiKARR, Craig was just one amazing, humble, and talented guy! His car is truly one of a kind and he is a man who made a difference by his kindness and humility at Knight Rider Festival that he showed towards me. At first all he asked from me was a photo inside his incredible car but by the time the Festival had continued, I gave Craig a free personalized copy of my book and he in turn asked me to sign his dash!

I was extremely honored and privileged to meet Craig and his car deserves every bit of praise he gets. His passion for his car really is a credit to the Knight Rider fandom and I can't say enough good things about how great a guy he is.
The rest of the GTA Knights were equally as cool and it was great to meet them.

Craig was indeed a good man to meet. I had arrived early saturday morning to get a lay of the land and when i came upon his car and geeked out as I snaped photos and filmed it he wouldn't let me leave without sitting in the car and hanging out a little.
He did this for everyone. If he caught you glancing over at the car he would order you to hop in and check it out up close and personal. I thought this was awesome as not only did I get to sit in it but I got to see kids get to sit in "the Knight Rider" car and push a button or two. He didn't have to let people in and he could have crazy eyed anyone who dared touch the car but he made sure everyone felt like an old friend who was welcome anytime.
Meeting him and talking about his car with him was one of the highlights of the festival.

I'd have to echo the comments here that Craig was great - a gentle giant and he seems to have a huge heart for the fandom. His car is completely unique and very inspiring the lengths he went to make it unique. (even the "fog" lights were custom!)
Big thanks to Alex too for letting us ride in his great replica during the KITT cruise - I was really taken aback by how friendly and receptive all the replica owners were. In a group of how many you would expect at least one bad egg, but there wasn't one to be found anywhere on Fremont.
We're starting to post photos in our 'photos' area (

this question goes out to the folks running knight rider online:
have you guys considered creating a flickr group for this event?

it would be nice to have a central location to share all our fan pics -and even videos.

it can link back to this main site as well.
all my pics are up. video will take some time but will be found at the same link here:

Sorry for the delay. My computer is choking on the huge HD files. But I'll get the Glen Larson one up first since that's the request I see. If you haven't watched the live videos we did go back and watch them. I haven't even sat down to watch them all yet, but there are some pretty cool things there. I gave all my stills to Neil, so if your wondering where those are they are posted on the links he gave above.

Personally I think she was at her best a the beginning of 'Race For Life', when she had just finished at the gym when Michael came to pick her up. The reason is that she was the spitting image of a girl I used to work with when this episode was repeated in the 90's. At no other time did April look like her, just in this one episode and I'm not sure why lol. Needless to say the girl I worked with, Nicola I think her name was, was hot!
