One thing that excited me, but then disappointed me about the trailer was the Pilot Foot pedals and gear shift in there. That said to me they left some of that customization of the interior in there which we haven't seen in any commercials yet. However if you go frame by frame, Mike is wearing a leather jackets as he shifts gears and you can see the plastic tabs from the old dash. When they cut to him turning, he's not wearing a jacket. So that says to me this is just recycled footage in here, alas.

But I'm being really picky - it's otherwise kickass!

Awesome Neil, thanks! Is it just me, or does it sound like we have a hint of classic KR "turbo boost" SFX when the car is landing?

I'm amazed by the amount of KR commercials NBC is showing during the Olympics. This latest one is great and I got all excited when I heard KITT say "How about a little Turbo Boost." I didn't think they would ever use it.

One thing of particular note is that since Gary Scott Thompson stated they'd only used Turbo Boost whilst in Attack Mode, we now appear to have an example of the regular mode having performed a jump as well, which is good news since it implies that vehicular functions are available in every mode, just as they should be.

Like Neil, the use of the old gearshift and pedals irked me... at first. Having noticed the leather jacket though, I've come to the conclusion that the close up interior shots for that entire sequence could just be a case of recycled footage, since they all appear to correspond with the movements from end of the pilot, where KITT skids in front of the SUV.

I thought he said that it wouldn't be just in attack mode but tht the first jump of the series did happen to be in Attack Mode?

He said at the time that they had only had the car Turbo Boost in Attack Mode thus far, but it was possible for it to do so in other modes. This was as of script 4 of the thirteen, so perhaps something new has come along.

Well I say! this new clips relieving my anxiety towards the new show !

That turbo boost landing was actually pretty cool, CGI I admit but at least you get to see it rather than a quick cut to Michael jolting forward in his seat! I can count one hand the amount of times that we saw Kitt land properly in TOS without looking like it was gonna come down on its front end.

Looks like the humour missing from the pilot has been given a kick up the butt too!

My anticipation levels gone from 6 to 9/10, cant wait!

That was pretty damn good though I can nitpick. The "this isn't Grand Theft Auto IV" line. It came off as something that was written and a bit unnatural to me. Seemed like something written by a writer who didn't know better and was unfamiliar with it, just knowing of it from popularity. It's probably just because I'm use to the series being referred to by its initials and not its full name..

I did like the line and the response from KITT but it just didn't seem right to me and could've been tweaked to be a bit better. *Shrugs*

Im sure the video was cut to appear like Kitt was answering "youre right, I`m a lot more fun!", if you watch Justin after the line "this isnt GTA IV" he carrys on talking, so I`m sure we`ll see this in a different context when the show airs.

Hey Guys. I have been an onlooker for so long and I wanted to start posting. First of all hat's off to Sue and Neil for our awesome HD vids. My little 2 cents after carefully looking @ the new turbo boost commerical is I dont think KI3T is in attack mode. He does have the wide "slick" tires but no body kit whatsoever. Which backups up what GST says about other modes being able to Turbo Boost.

Are those ripples for show or are they a hint at something new? It could signal sonic waves, Bullet Time, bending/pausing time, etc. Very interesting to say the least.

But seriously GST did say KITT could turbo boost in any mode, but he also said they only shot turbo boosts in attack mode so far. (Though that was almost a month ago.) I think this is just a little tease, I think there is going to be a bigger turbo boost that will just blow us away.

I agree that the voice sounds more like William Daniels there. Did Kilmer do this voice or was it done by someone else?

I also keep reading - in other threads - about how to talk about what happened to the original KITT. My thoughts are - KI3T is still the original KITT in a new car. What if KITT had to be re-booted and placed into a new car? This would explain the learning and the voice changing. I don't think I could come up with a reason why KITT was removed from the T/A body. It would be nice to see new footage of a KI2T flashback of what happened to have the T/A body in a garage and pieces of the car here and there.

Oh, and sleep is good. I know I didn't get enough after re-reading this post, however its the best I can do. For now.
