In the end it is a wait and see situation.
I might be in the minority but I don't have much of an issue with the Mustang. i like it actually. There isn't another car that is affordable for shooting purposes, has a design that works until late next year.
I posted this in another thread but I recently saw the movie "Redline". While the movie isn't great, you do see a lot of exotics and powerful cars doing their thing. They even had a scene where the Ford GT goes against the Shelby Mustang. I was impressed how the Shelby looks onscreen. It looks powerful, and agile.
As for Product placement I think a good example was Transformers. A lot of GM cars but it wasn't like they were flashing logos all over the place. in fact I Don't remember seeing any logos. you know what is what by design only.
**Shapeshifter: I checked out aintitcoolnews.com and there is a bit of confusion between the two spots voice wise. I have seen other comments as well around the net. NBC should not rush things for the sake of rushing them. Especially when they send out all these press releases stating Will Arnet is the voice of KITT prior to all of the spots.
